| Probably Sword Art Online 1. I don't like the show. 2. Guts would be the one and only Black Swordsman as he should be. 3. We would most likely have nowhere near as many shitty isekai light novels and anime adaptations. I think most of can agree that would be a good thing. The only potential problem that would arise is that not as many people would have gotten into anime, as SAO was a big reason why anime started getting more popular in the west. However, Attack on Titan also did that and only came out a year later so I still think anime would be pretty popular in the west. So sorry SAO, you gotta go. |

As for idol anime - the ones I saw were innocent, but the official merch/artwork were extremely disturbing (e.g. Love Life!, these revealing figurines gave me ptsd) I haven’t actually watched any idol/magic girl anime so I apologize for making assumptions, but the whole idol culture, both in anime and actual Japan, definitely seems a bit creepy to me. I kind of just lumped magical girl anime in with it which, admittedly, is due to my ignorance on the genre. |

That's one of the best fantasy series I've read with the unique magic system. Give it a try! As for Nahona... I'm not sure if I want to check it or not. Probably not, I don't want to get traumatized A lot of people say that...but I'm reading the Black Cauldron series right now. xD Don't bother with Nanoha; there are way better magical girl shows....like Nurse Angel Ririka ^^ |
