Pingu xD I would be slightly interested in Steins;Gate simply to see it filmed in real world Akihabara locations ![]() |
I would like to see more live action movie as well, but they should do it safely. Like ninja warriors looks cool and all but the bar is high when we talk about a group of spidermen trying to kill titans. ![]() Aguuus said: Most people confuse overrating with overpopularity, for example the poor SAO is a victim of this problem. Lol at the "Live action is ewww" comments. Firstly why come to this thread just to say that, secondly are you that obsessed with the 2d world that you just instantly write off anything real? That's pretty.... idk.... On topic, probably a romance or something of the sort, I've been pretty disappointed with live action versions of action anime, like the DBZ and Death Note live actions. Lets not forget the joke that was Detective Pikachu :x ![]() Lolicons are scum. BABYMETAL is more metal than Metallica. Naruto is objectively the best anime ever. HxH 99' is decent. HxH 11' is bad. |
91 Days could work really well western live-action since the setting is very western and it isn't exactly reliant on the medium to tell it's story. Also maybe Inuyashiki, because there are parts where bad shit happens and it'd feel more horrible if we saw them as real people ![]() |
Maybe Your Name? While there are a lot of abstract elements to the movie it doesn't seem that difficult to replicate and the story and character's are pretty simple as well the biggest hit would come in the looks department unfortunately live action is restricted to boring reality. I'm hoping that they will focus on the story and character's more because I thought that area was pretty lacking in Your Name. ![]() |
A live-action Hinamatsuri could be good if done right. Heck, pretty much any slice of life anime with limited/no fantasy elements could potentially work in live-action. ![]() |
I don't want to see any more animated films end up as "live action films". Also for the posters who somehow take that as insult less that I think live action is eww and more that we need less rehashes, reboots in general in most media. Hollywood especially needs to make more original titles. I don't see the point of a live action adaption when I can just watch the anime. Also the West will butcher AOT and turn it more into your standard Zombie story. I doubt they will keep the basement reveal as it was. ![]() |
Isuzhoku/Interspecies Reviewers... ![]() |
Rocket Girls could certainly work really well in live-action. ![]() Avatar character is Gabriel from Gabriel DropOut. |

I'm still traumatized because of Dragon Ball Evolution so I'll stay away from live action adaptations for a while. Although I think that live-action of Natsuyuki Randezvouse would be a fun watch. ![]() |
A Psycho-Pass live action adaptation would be cool. Tho it kinda already exists with Minority Report lol Also no battle shounen should ever get a live action adaptation. Ever. They just don't work outside anime media, same for magical girls shows. ![]() |
Oregairu. But, i'm not sure if it'd be a good idea or not. But,i'm just curious of how it'd look like if it ever got one. ![]() |
I want to see a Monster adaptation, HBO style. Something really clean and well-done. ![]() |
One Punch Man with Sacha Baron Cohen as Saitama. In general though a lot of anime/manga will suffer from loss in translation due to weird quirks a lot of characters inhabit, and how stories are told, especially with the poor cast and crew these live-action adaptations tend get. ![]() poop |
One of the only possible live action adaptations that could work would be Monster. It wouldn’t take place in some CG infested fantasy world and has a story that would really resonate with those who aren’t into anime or manga ![]() One, "sleep it better than humans," says Shukaku. Two, burning in fire, Matatabi. Three, leave the water to Isobu. Four, hot as lava, Son Goku. Five, always on the run, Kokuo Six, taking it easy and not in a, Saiken. Seven, the flying leaf insect, Chomei. Eight, "Yeah!" is all it needs, Gyuki. Nine, "ko-kon" cries the mighty Kurama. |

I’m really excited to see the One Piece live action just because it’s probably going to be a CGI monstrosity. Any live action of an anime with ridiculous character and/or creature design is hilarious to watch for me. After having witnessed the horrendous design of Cats, I think a Beastars live action would be hilarious. ![]() Meow meow meow meow and meow shogi, meow meow meow meow and meow shogi. I'd say Naruto because MHA isn't over yet. If something else, then I hope it's Clannad or Ansatsu kyoshitsu. ![]() CRIMSON ASSASSIN & DRUNK GODDESS |

I am the Arbiter of Absolute Truth, and here is my wisdom: "The term 'shounen' has evolved. It's not just a source of origin. Speaking of shounen, 'shounen' does not inherently mean 'bad'. Tropes are not bad. Relying on tropes without changing them is. There is no 'Golden Age.' There will always be top-shelf anime. You should be watching both seasons of Mob Psycho 100." |

Legend of the Galactic heroes would make for an epic live action adaptation if it is done with a budget equal to Star Wars. ![]() |

Oh, this was a little tricky since there a few. Gravitation, Only The Ring Finger Know, for starters. Since they do not have anything supernatural it easily translates into live action. Naruto and Saint Seiya (providing they can get the ninjutsu and Cosmo right). But it must be japan-made since America don’t have the best record. I’m looking at you, American Death Note. ![]() Sub4Ever - DubNever |
