| i used to care since I thought I would share my list with a family relative if they mention they want to see my list. They know I watch anime so I didn't want to take any chances. There was only maybe 5 hentai i fully completed in full without skipping. once I watched a year's worth, i decided to watch hentai in full. would rate them but I coded them differently in a separate spreadsheet so I can still pull data that doesn't involve it (can also share list that way) and wouldn't affect my ratings on spreadsheet (although would affect malgraph) . i would rate normally. Also hentai ovas diversified my list twice fold . |

| I recently started adding hentai to my list. I stopped caring once I realized the amount of normal anime will always outnumber it and will eventually come to a point where it's hardly noticeable. I don't rate them though since I have no idea what to grade them on. Breaking down hentai seems pointless to me anyway. |

| Not exactly, at the very least the only people that would have a problem with you rating hentai are people that wouldn't be on this website in the first place. Only problem is you're rating them with a completely different standard in mind so having a hentai be rated a 7 would be far different than a normal anime you gave a 7. Go request MAL to add a separate Hentai List, we already have a list for anime and a list for manga, so why not? It'd allow people to know that the hentai you've rated are judged by a different standard, and people don't need to separate hentai from your list themselves |

| My compromise is to add some hentai to the list, but limit it to what I call "plot with porn". That's stuff like A Kite, Mezzoforte, Kage, Legend of the Overfiend, Beladonna of Sadness etc. which has undisputeable hentai scenes but more in the sense of adult cinema. Just because there is full frontal nudity doesn't make it porn, does it? I don't add any purebred fap material, because my sexual preferences are nothing I want to share with the world. |
