THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Haha, I love how Kotoko teases Saki at every chance possible. At least both of them seems dedicated on solving the case of that idol girl. Nanase's human personality is pretty much in style of an idol. Seems she keeps up with social media with her photo profiles. Gotta admire Saki's work ethnics though. Even without supernatural abilities, she's very resourceful with her detective skills. ![]() |
I though kuro wont appear , funny when kotoko tease saki about inviting her in kotoko weeding ![]() |
I love the banter between Kotoko and Saki when it comes to their relationship Kuro. It seems that Nanase was a successful idol that resented her father and may be the cause of his accident. Steel Lady Nanase might be a product a hateful spirit that refuses pass on into the afterlife. ![]() |
On one hand I find this pacing perfect. On the other I want to see more during a single episode. If I knew I'll be so much into it, I'd wait for this season to end before watching D: Kuro finally appears huh. The interaction between two girls are golden, so I wonder what will happen when he joins in. Can't wait! ![]() |
I've read the manga and i think the anime has adapted the relationship between Kotoko and Saki very well. ![]() |
Another amazing episode. My fave series of the year so far. What I really love about Kyokou Suiri is how it manages to be interesting, unique and fun consistently. Episodes go by so fast because of how enjoyable they are. The interactions between the characters are amazing and feel real. The world is so alive and full of history/lore, etc. Kotoko telling the spirit child to touch Saki's boob was hilarious. For once I've got a series where I legit like both best girls. Looking forward to see how Saki-San integrates in the team and helps them to defeat the steel lady. Also, very tragic backstory for idol Nanase. Hopefully she'll be able to find peace. Said it before and I'll say it again, this series reminds me of Inuyasha quite a bit, which is really cool. Will have to check out the manga. Looks like they also made the Nanase|Steel Lady website real:https://www.kojin7se.com ![]() Modified by Marinate1016, Feb 1, 2020 12:52 PM Subscribe to my Youtube: MariNate |
Slow pace in the last two episodes but we are able to get to know the characters in this time. Want more of Kuro and Kotoko's banter. ![]() |
Once again we are blessed with another great episode! The Kotoko-Saki interactions are gold. Marinate1016 said: Looks like they also made the Nanase|Steel Lady website real:https://www.kojin7se.com That's actually pretty cool. Sad it's only in Japanese though... ![]() |
i'm liking this show more and more. the interactions are so great, the facial expressions are funny and this cliffhanger with skipping the ed... i'm sold bruh tfw no kotoko gf ![]() |
Not going to lie, I like the banter between Kotoko and Saki a lot right now! They are fun to watch together. "I don't think a priestess can be deflowered..." Haha that lasting first impression alright! Kotoko was really evil with all the teases she throws at Saki. That opening starring Nanase was really unexpected! We get to know more about Nanase's past and what happened to her. That's a gruesome way to get killed, no matter if it was an accident or not. Nanase has appeared again and is fighting with Kuro, what a coicidence. This is gonna be a sweet reunion afterwards! Also, these thighs man! ![]() |
Damn, this show is so good. I've(unwisely it seems)binge read the manga up to vol 10,after watching the first episode, and I have to say they are hitting all the right notes with this adaption(though so of the little skits in the manga need to be animated, they're so funny). And this is the first time in quite a while that I have found myself getting so invested in the stories, and the characters, esp Kotoko. And the end of the last episode and through this one,the interaction between her and Saki have been spellbinding to watch. Can't wait for the next ep. Also,I'm glad that both the OP and ED are out, they're so damn good. ![]() |
I gotta say, that the plot or story of this series is kind of boring to me.... BUT, the i love the way they made their characters... I liked some Yokais.... I like the humor and expressions of Kotoko... The way Kurou treats/interact with Kotoko... And my fav character of the series... is clearly Saki Yumihara. PS: Also Oppai Nanase. ![]() |

I typically prefer my mystery series to leave some breadcrumbs to the solution for the audience so I'm interested to see what the resolution ends up being and if the series provided enough context for us to have gotten there without just spitballing random possibilities. ![]() Mendokusai |

The most straight forward mystery is what drives Steel Lady Nanase. Why is she attacking people; why is she in that outfit? Everything about Steel Lady Nanase and the logical outcome of a vengeful spirit of the actual Nanase seem at odds given the information presented and the lack of intelligence, will, or even anger that Kotoko feels from the entity they keep encountering. To quote Kotoko, she feels like "a puppet." Plus, the fact that someone was able to make that painting of Steel Lady on that website is odd. It hasn't been expounded upon yet but I felt like Kotoko was almost implying that Steel Lady was MADE in that image as opposed to some lucky individual getting a clear look at her by chance, escaping, and perfectly painting the sight. Then there's the question of what involvement Nanase's sister might have had in this, the truth behind Nanase's father's death, and now why Kuro has suddenly shown up and is playing an active role. ![]() Mendokusai |

It also appears in Pom Poko from Studio Ghibli. They are a very notorious and dangerous type of youkai BTW. Their name means "starving skeleton" and they eat people. ![]() |
Saki is so fcking hot!!! Kotoko is a damn troll lol. The banters and how this handles the mystery crime thing with yokai shit is intriguing. Last part was hype af when they skipped the ed song and gave one good cliffhanger. Now I cant wait how this all ends up and how the banters will go now that theres 3 of them. ![]() |
I'm glad Kotoko and Saki are getting along, couldn't help but giggle at Kotoko's comments about Saki to the youkais, not to mention the several Kotoko faces we got to see this time. Also the website is actually up https://www.kojin7se.com/ - Karin's breasts are actually quite big lol ![]() |
Mercuri said: I just want for the 3 of them to meet and why couldn't she use that big skeleton to defeat Nanase it's like a Susano. Ok explain. The reason the skeleton wasn’t used was because it was very fragile. Even a weak punch can break a large chunk of its bones. It was explained in the manga, I just think they forgot to add it in the anime lol. ![]() |
Saki's hot as fuck but it's super boring watching these two argue about a guy who is nowhere to be seen. Nanase's drama looks like it would make a great watch (maybe better than this). Spin-off when? Also seems weird to me that they're ruling out an idol's ghost's desire to be in the spotlight. Like if the show wants us to understand her as not simply a spirit, they could do it in a way that doesn't make the characters look like idiots. This seems like exactly what a cult idol with an attitude would do lol. Her life was already basically an urban legend so it's weird that they think it's so far off the mark. ![]() Modified by syncrogazer, Feb 2, 2020 10:22 AM |
Okay , Saki's character and visuals is wasted tbh in this story whether it's in the manga or the anime.. but I still stan Iwanaga-sama.. Can't wait to see how they portray Rikka. By the pace this anime is going it seems that they're only covering Steel Lady Nanase arc.. in hope for a second season by next year assuming the story progresses more in the manga ![]() |
Pretty enjoyable. I'm glad this series is moving away from the snooze fest that ep 2 was. It's far better this way. ![]() |
Hmmm, I have a feeling that Nanase isn't actually dead and that Steel Lady Nanase is actually her older sister who is the actual sibling that died. I mean, the police have no evidence that the body they found was definitely Nanase after all! I'm so frickin' happy that Kuro is back! Things are gonna get pretty interesting with him being back since Saki has been dragged into this mess! ![]() |

Calling it now, there's some kind of switcheroo gone on between the Nanase sisters: the destruction of the face and how the two look so similar leaves plenty of room for that possibility, and it's a perfect way for Nanase to escape the scandal surrounding her. That aside, the interactions between Kotoko and Saki were pretty entertaining again. ![]() |
"I don't think a priestess can be deflowered..." - wait, after everything that's been said, this is the one thing you decide to comment on? :D That's some impressive transportation she has... I wonder how it would look to someone who can't see this kind of beings, though. That drama is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen... Ah, but of course Kuro would be there as well. ![]() |

It all depends on the quality of the dialogue. ![]() |
The romance banter between Kotoko and Saki is still funny, though the joke kinda wears off its novelty soon once the topic of human and Youkai surface. Getting back on topic on Steel Lady Nanase, both humans and Youkai are in fear of her, and to deal with it, only can interfere for now in the Youkai space while Saki can only investigate from the usual police case files' perspective of the deceased idol (Nanase Karin) before her demise. The website about her IS REAL, even if at a fictional level. Otherwise, it's family conflict of rumours and speculations that don't seem to slow down, and her eventual accidental death by a steel beam. On the subject of her sister Hatsumi, nothing of significance is known yet. To expect Kuro to face her head-on after a long disappearance seems wilfully appropriately timed, so the Steel Lady Nanase arc will continue on. Will Kuro's Youkai-negating properties fend her off, time will tell next episode. ![]() |
