| I just hope that there's an option for Japanese voices with subtitles because those dubs are too cheesy. Most of the complaints seems to be directed towards filler content and story changes. If you haven't played the original or did but not too concerned about faithfulness, then I'd say it's a safe buy. That RE3 aggregate score seems to be spot-on, though. Too much cut content really spoiled the experience. But then again, the original RE3 wasn't as good as RE2 either, which is something people tend to forget. I also heard rumors that the project was developed by Capcom's B-team. |

| I didn't want to watch the full video since they showed scenes I haven't reached but I'm having a great time with the game so far. I also finished beating the original game like a day before it came out and can say based on the first 5 hours some of the changes are notably appreciated but I won't go into specifics. Their complaint about fillers though comes off as contradictory because they correctly note you can skip most of the side quests they listed. The game only requires the player to do 1 of their choice to show how side quests work and immediately prompts them if they want to just continue the story. Although if the player skips the quests then they can never be completed which the game aggressively warns the player about. They try to justify their complaint by saying it can subtly effect later scenes or you'll miss out on major rewards or unlocks in which case yeah obviously. If you choose to skip content you don't get rewarded. Is it just that they don't like the content of the side quests specifically? Do they want the side quests to not be rewarding or are they just docking points because they're in the game? Like FF7 specifically is no stranger to tedious side quests with really rewarding results. Whether it's chocobo breeding in the original to get the strongest ability in the game (granted this task can be skipped if you beat a super boss), or farming casino tokens to get Cloud his last Limit ability. I just hope they ditched the idea of say invisible items that can be missed if you don't have the right party member for example. On a similar notion one mechanic I'm glad they add is |

| I think the graphics and the overall design looks extremely beautiful, but I'm sure what to think about the changes they made to the game. It seems so weird to take the first 5-6 hours of the original game and turn it into full-fledged 30+ hours game (especially since the original was barely that long). If they do this in every episode, then that would mean the game consists of 75% filler content. I also prefer the original Active Time Battle system (one of my favorite mechanics in video games in general) over this more generic action gameplay. Well, I don't have a PS4 (or a powerful enough PC), so I couldn't play the game anyway. |
