December 31, 2020 can't come soon enough!

>We started with the Iran/U.S nonsense of Trump trying to compensate his tiny dick by waving around the U.S military's might and almost starting WWIII...

>Iran then went full retard and downed a commercial airplane with innocent civilians, most of which were Iranians themselves......

>Australia is literally burning to the ground...

>Coronavirus is running rampant and people are starting to freak out

>NBA legend Kobe tragically dies at only 41 from a helicopter crash

And it's only January....good god, how will we survive?!

Tired of this ww3 shit. WW3 is not gonna start because we attack some shitty third world religion of peace country. It is gonna start with Russia or china and with nuclear weapons.

Are there really people that cannot sleep because they think boogy man trump is after them? lol

Only thing I really care about is kobe. We've heard about outbreaks before and they never amounted to the human race dying so not really worried.

I don't really give a shit about politics but didn't Iran start it first by disrupting U.S. operations and Trump finally had enough and pulled out the big guns? At least that's what I read on some sources

I can really care less about Coronavirus. It got blown out of proportion like the dumbasses who blew Ebola out of proportion. I'm looking forward to more space in public transportation because I'm Asian and people will think I'm diseased lul

I agree Kobe was a legend but it's a shame media is just milking his death like they did with xxxTentacion and now we'll have people claiming "huhur i was his fan since day 1"

WW3 was never going to start, it's your own fault for being naive enough to think there was even chance of it. Don't give into hysteria and instead actually research the geopolitics and history of iran/us and you would've realized this day 1.

Rest I agree with though, not to mention not only is Australia burning but the government is completely fucking inept to deal with a outbreak and has probably let hundreds of infected carriers in with no plan on how to prevent the outbreak once they start spreading shit. Australia is literally China 2.0, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next month Australia became the next most infected place right after China.

No idea where the hell you live but even if this outbreak was on par with a cold [which it isn't] this is a seriously huge issue for people, especially in places like Australia where you have a massive Chinese population [not talking about citizens, these people literally come to and from china daily] and when you're someone like myself who has to go into a massive city daily and be surrounded in a subway at rush hour this is not a good fucking thing, even missing a few days of uni takes it's toll, imagine if this virus is actually bad as people are making it out to be and you end up bedridden for a month? you'd be fucked.

I wouldn't say it's been a horrible start. Maybe a just a bad start. I don't think ww3 is gonna happen and quite frankly i'm tried off hearing about it. I think people are just paranoid.

Maybe don't base your personal happiness on political issues in far away countries which have no actual effect on you?

Having a bad mentality just sets you up for failure. I've accomplished a lot in the past 3 weeks and am going to keep at it regardless of whatever Trump bullshit is occurring.

well i live in a populated area as well with a large population of Asians and i'm sorry but i just can't see all this panic because we've been having constant overreactions for these doomsday related things that settled down after like a week or two. at best, you should buy a face mask for extra protection if you're worried and do the regular hygiene stuff. also, already read some experiences from Asians around my area saying Asians already getting intentionally avoided on the public transportation (even if they're not Chinese) so yea.....

Years are just arbitrarily divided. I mean different cultures don't even have new year on the same date and the various calender systems are also arbitrary. You should expect drastic changes at the begining of each year.

I've already done a fairly thought out data pattern that shows that's not the most likely to happen. I posted it in several threads already. Living in a large population of "asians" is not the same as living in a hot spot for Chinese investors, Chinese visiting family and wealthy Chinese constantly going on vacation.

Those who haven't lived in Australia have no clue how much Chinese influence is actually here and not just "here" like I said they come to and from China to throwaway money here [Casinos down is brisbane are literally full of Chinese throwing 10k down per bet on roulette, Australia is a hotspot for them to escape their own shitty country and blow off money].

So when considering that, even if the virus had the same effects as a simple flu it's still widespread enough that it could cause serious issues when considering how likely it's being brought in right from the quarantine zone.

Just remember how "Impossible" and "Unlikely" it was the first time he got elected, I find it hard to believe people still haven't learned to expect the unexpected.

Not to mention not a lot has changed since the last election, same terrible candidate selection on both sides and trump remaining as the only viable choice for a lot of people. Yang is the only other semi-sane person running but considering how naive his "$1000" for everyone deal is I don't think most people are taking him seriously besides the occasional memes.

The Australian fires have me mad worried for my fam in the lower states where a majority of the fires are occurring.
Then our PM is an *sshole about the whole situation, so its a bit 'tuff.
The rest of the world doesn't seem to be doing too good either. I haven't kept up with the news in a while, but now I'm hearing about a deadly virus and on top of that, war threats?

I like this mentality. Its important to stay in touch with the world and grasp whats going on even just superificially but some people love to use that as an excuse to be depressed and avoid their own life challenges. I think its some weird way to excuse your own failures to take in the sadness of the world or a really toxic way to cope they say shared pain is half of the pain.

When they're with you for 8 years and your life revolves around them and all you can think about after their passing is how you could have protected them better, then yes absolutely. But gotta stick to the No Regrets mantra.

Yeah i feel you fam. I never really had much hope that this year would be any better than 2019. But a small part of me feels differently and i honestly can't imagine why i'dstill have any hope left. 2020 kicked off with a deadly virus, WW3 shit, and the death of an NBA icon. Things don't seem to look that good. At least 2018 wasn't that bad in terms of my personal life. Everything seemed normal then, but now it's different i suppose...

If you tie your personal happiness to political and celebrity affairs, you'll always find something to be unhappy about. Be bold enough to tie your personal happiness to your own fucking happiness and then work to achieve it. Honestly, how the world is on a macro scale (with rare exceptions) and how I'm personally doing are not correlated whatsoever. How my city and state is doing matters fucking tenfold. If you trick and obsess yourself into thinking all the world's problems are your problems in some strange way of appearing aware and active, you only have yourself to blame.

Technically nothing is impossible in elections.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-human_electoral_candidates

Something unlikely doesn't mean impossible. To expect unexpected only means acknowledging small odds or the unknown not pretending they are overwhelmingly the most probable.

UBI beyond at the begining is effectively meaningless in a market economy with no price controls to limit increased price tags and Yang I have yet to see propose such a thing beyond controlling prescription medication prices and lower cost of higher education. What about food? What about transportation? What about housing? His other policies are better and some are similar to what you see in third parties.

Well I'm from LA and despite people saying the Chinese are buying up all of Hollywood it still doesn't even come close to how it is over here in Australia. The difference between the US and Australia is that the US understands the threat of the Chinese and is trying to limit them where as Australia is known for it's completely inept government and does nothing.

The Chinese aren't stupid and Australia is the perfect dumping ground for their funds and a place to grow even more funds, so of course there would be Chinese literally everywhere compared to other places [which like I said is the case].
