Chibi Morita is win! xD
I wonder if Yamada will finally move to Nomya, now that Mayama left to Spain.
Also, Hagu-chan was especially cute in this episode. And lol @ the Dragonball reference =P

Rofl feeding curry to the kitty XD Hagu seemed really cute this episode, I agree with that :D

That birthday song was really sad and touching.

...I'm kinda sad that they didn't go to the beach.

Dragon Ball reference? I didn't catch it, which one? o_O

Great episode but the way it ended made me feel as though something bad is about to happen.

If Yamada cries one more time, I am going to roundhouse her instead! It is really starting to spoil it for me, she is making it a fail.... It's so frustrating! It would be 100% better if I didn't have to sit through another 10 minutes of her walking across that bridge sobbing! Please, please, let the next episode get all the way through without it happening again!

Otherwise, good ep.

Another brilliant episode.
Little Morita has to be one of the most adorable things I've seen. The picture of their family was really nice and war, I hope they succeed in returning the company.
It was unfortunate that he didn't say anything to Hagu though..
And I also hope that Yamada finally opens up to Nomiya, she already cried enough.

And I really dislike last minute of this episode.

Y'know, as the series goes on, my thoughts on it are changing little by little...moments like that last minute or so were pretty much what I signed up for, and a big part of what made the 1st series so special, but they've practically totally disappeared this time around. Now the focus seems to be a lot more on various characters gazing into the distance and/or Yamada bursting into tears. It's probably a good display of how the focus of things change as life goes on (groups of friends eventually drift apart, even marginally), but it's still not as endearing as most of the 1st series.

Another great episode. Glad to see Yamada and Nomiya together although she's still in pain thinking about Mayama.

And the backstory of Morita was a good addition to his character background including his brother.

I think I understand it a bit. The two brothers were working so hard to get their father's company back. But why would Morira distance himself from Hagu? Does he not want to be happy?

Morita is the best character of the series.

But this series is such a tearjerker, why would they have to include that last line in the script...

So Morita and his brother have been working to get their dad’s company back. I think Kaoru might be a little jealous of the way his dad treated Morita as well from that one scene where we see him ruffling his hair.

I also wonder what Hagu was going to ask Hanamoto sensei in the library. Maybe to stay together after she graduates? Also, Hagu looks much older now and it’s better that way. She looked way too young before.
-Nothing can stay unchanged. Even so, can you still keep on loving this place?

Morita looked and acted so adorable when he was little. . curry and the cat, haha. But on a serious note, that insert song playing while showing everyone's serious faces was kind of depressing and well . . . the beach getaway that never was :(

Some people have a hard time letting go; given that it's Yamada's first love and that Mayama still treats her nicely, I can understand why she's having such a hard time with it. I don't think it's gone overboard.

It was nice seeing Hagu's thoughts. She seems a lot more like an adult than she did in the previous season.

Morita seems to be walking into a black hole. It's like he doesn't care about anything anymore other than his dad's company. To be such an interesting guy, I wonder about him. I also find it interesting that despite holding the most influential role in the group, he mostly stays a bystander and lets the problems sort themselves out. I guess he does help in a passive way...

I hope things turn out well for him.

It was a well-rounded episode. That ending was sobering.

I find it amazing how much i can relate to Hagu in this episode. Wanting to open all these boxes of possibilities, though, unlike her, they are not only filled with artsy, creative stuff. It is sad that there is a limit of paths you can take in this life.
Ew... Mayama acting like a total clown and this whole 'pathetic rabid dog' scene made me sick to watch. And in front of Yamada too! She handled the situation perfectly, though.
Yamada and Nomiya are so cute together!
Isnt it weird how Shuu-chan encourages Morita to make a move on Hagu whereas acting ridiculously overprotective when Takemoto tries to do so?
I wonder whats with that ' in the end we never went to the ocean'?

About the 'In the end we never went to the ocean' scene, I interpret it that their time spent together as friends became less due to their own personal issues, but they were still together mentally.

Shinobu was a cute kid and feeding curry to the cat was hilarious, the cats face made me lol.

Now he doesn't want to be involved with Hagu who seems more mature this season, it probably is because he knows Yuuta likes her.

What was their dads company? I couldn't read the sign since it was in Japanese. Nice that Kouru wants to get it back.

I wish they had really gotten to go to the beach though.

Ayumi should get with Nomiya.

I never thought Yamada crying was ever too much. She's liked him for an insanely long time and he was her first love. Also, for the longest time, it didn't seem that Mayama was going anywhere with his love so that constantly gave her hope over the years. All of a sudden everything came crashing down all together and there's a completely new person showing her kindness and love. She's still pretty young and inexperienced so I can totally understand why she's so emotional over this.

"A single lifetime limits how many boxes you can open." Boy, talk about heavy. That one really hit me, there's so much I want to do and try yet I know I only get this one journey through life. Loved the Happy Birthday insert song, it captured the melancholic mood perfectly.

Oh, a glimpse into Morita's background? Like father, like son, I guess. At least in Morita's case.

"In the end, we never went to the ocean." A rather ominous way to wrap up an episode. A sign of things to come, eh?

10/10 episode. That ending made me bawl like a baby. That was so heartwrenching...... just like in real life, plans that never see the light. Took my breath away. That was so beautifully & perfectly executed, with Takemoto’s monologue, that ED that once again hit at the right moment, those visuals. I’m like (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

Hagu's boxes of art projects are a stand-in for the author's never-ending subplots. Umino Chika has an endless number of boxes, each containing another half dozen subplots and backstories. She can not possibly write them all or finish those she has started, but she keeps opening those boxes.

I felt the Morita family backstory was one of the weaker subplots. The romances that pivot around Hagu and Yamada need more time and attention.

I'm happy to see Hagu looking more adult in recent episodes. Showing her with her hair down is helpful. What was that monologue about Shuuji having his own life to live... Hagu has always had a crush on her older cousin, but is she starting to have more adult feelings towards him?

Yamada Ayumi seems to be resigned to never being with Mayama. And those walks with Leader and Nomiya and all that time talking on the park bench must count for something. I'm really shipping Yamada and Nomiya now.
