What was the best story arc in A Certain Magical Index: New Testament?
| While I haven't finished reading the series yet myself, I was quite curious to know what the community at large thought about the series, and which parts were especially well received. For what it's worth, I'm not sure what my favourite is (yet), but I'm expecting an especially huge turnout for the Magic God Othinus Arc. Just a feeling. |
| This is an easy question. Othinus's arc is the highlight of the series. "IT BOTHERS ME". Its an iconic moment that there's that Shounen protagonist who also can be genuinely devastated by a happy illusion. But personally, Shokuhou's arc is my favorite. And that whole Kamisato's arc were the worst. |

| Obviously Othinus arc I mean that arc just made me happy and fucking sad at the same time and I think 2nd one would be Misaki arc all of the other arcs were pretty much average even the last few vol because we didn't get touman that much. As for the worst arc, I think we all can agree on Kamisato arc made me didn't want to read this series for like half a year seriously that guy along with Hamazura are just the waste of time wonder why Kamachi didn't kill him yet. |
| I LOVED this whole series and there is no arc that i didnt like,but Magic God Othinus arc was just incredible! NT Volume 9 is by far my favorite volume of this series (i read it whole in like 5 hrs,i just couldnt stop!),and its just Othinus and Touma for the whole time. And after that you go to Volume 10 where Touma basically fights the whole fucking World! New Testament was so good that i read it whole in like 6 months,i just couldnt stop reading it! I dont know where Kamachi-sensei finds inspiration for all this but ill be happy to read his series for another 15-20 years (since he plans Index to have around 100 volumes!) |
