| Finally a strong female lead for the season. It was a rather abrupt beginning but it sort of pulled it off. In a season of really mediocre fantasy this seems to have some promise |
| Quite nice so far. Character dynamics are very compelling and engaging. The setting is interesting and and feels a little mysterious too. Will definitely look forward to more. |

| Holy fucking shit this was unexpectedly good. Finally something decent out of Winter 2020. So it felt like I just watched the whole "Boy Meets Girl" trope in anime just get turned over on its head. Like you know how you have a guy be sort of the pursuer of a girl and then the girl shocks him with some total secret then they are shipped together? This show flips it around which makes it pretty damn cool. This and Eizouken are gonna be my faves. |

| I find it funny how after losing lots of talent and the Natsume Yuujincho property to studio Shuka, Brain's Base is back with another youkai anime after all these years. |

| I thought this show is a detective story from the title and didn't expect too much. But the last part of this episode showed a BakemonoGatari-like aspect, and the preview of next episode indicated a mystery element. Kind of hard to grasp the nature of it for now. |

They went kinda dormant after the emigration(not counting the absurd amount of bad animes they have put out), but it seems like they took their time with this one, which fills me with hope. I miss the old days of Oomori + Brains Base masterpieces, here's hoping that this one delivers. |

| Not a fan of shows that start with huge infodumps and weird unnatural dialogues with unfazing characters. I have to admit that the story got more engaging past the mid point when it was stablished that Kuro was dumped. Kuro's plottwist at the end was the sealing deal for me. Wished the humor wasn't so cartoonish and out of the left field. It reminds me of The Ancient Magus Bride and why I disliked that title despite having a very interesting universe. I hope the cheesy humor gets toned down later on. I can get past the hazy filters to mask the very basic animation, as long as Kuro & Kotoko's relationship go in the right direction. |

| Quite entertaining start actually. I think I'm gonna enjoy watching the dynamic of this main duo. I'm already liking Kotoko too. She's really pretty and I absolutely love her character design. The premise isn't really special but if Kotoko and Kurou's interactions remains this engaging, I wouldn't mind watching them solving youkai's problems every week. |

| This was a really pleasant surprise which I wasn't planning on picking up. Charming characters(especially Kotoko) and dynamic, and a spirited and engaging story and world. Looking forward to this one. |

| I just watched this out of curiousity and damn, didn't expect it to be so good. And I'm really liking the loli heroine already. 5/5 for the pilot episode. 8/10 for the first impression. |
| hey this wasn't bad at all was more fun and up beat than i was expecting while still being somewhat serious , i enjoy the main characters interactions and it looks nice to boot. one of the few "new" shows i enjoyed this season a lot hopefully it stays good and doesn't use the monster of the week trope for the whole show |

| Finally!!! This was my most hyped anime for this season because I Ioved the manga, and it didn't disappoint. I also loved the ED. | Nice start, liked manga as little as it has translated and pretty decent story overall so was interested. Find it intersting and strange how after quite a time gap some works get chosen, this one as well as Plunderer. I feel like they would've/could've been much more popular just as people were getting into it. |

| wow that's better and less confusing than i originally thought. considering the author of this manga also created Zetsuen no Tempest, I expected more questions raised and less answered in the first episode. I'm glad they at least explained the powers and didn't play with the sequence of events to confuse us. I really like Zetsuen no Tempest and Spiral: Bonds of Reasoning (another work of this author) so I'll be expecting great things from this anime. Hope it doesn't disappoint. |

Based on the cast list (Especially that cat yokai who only appeared around 20-ish chapters), there's high chance that the main villain's story won't starts until around EP6 or EP7. At this rate, I won't they won't screw the pacing (And chronology) too much in the next few episodes. |

| I wasn't really sure what expectations to have for this going into it, but this was one of the strongest opening episodes I've watched so far this season. Already a big fan of Kotoko as a character and the overall plot and set up is really interesting so far. |
| can someone explain to me why his girlfriend left him? i actually don't understand. koto said that kappa is scared after looking at him, and ran away. that mean he didn't do anything abnormal at all. so why is his girlfriend is afraid of him despite he did nothing?? |

| Interesting start! Character interactions have been a treat to watch so far, she really isn't holding back in trying to woo him xD. Falling in love because he reminds her of a goat is off by a mile though, I've to say. Anyway, really curious to know more about this backgrounds. Losing a leg and an eye in exchange for becoming the Goddess of Wisdom, yikes this is certainly a unique premise in that aspect. And wait, eating two youkais. I don't even know which is more shocking. Looking forward to more! Not exactly hooked just to be honest but I'm liking the slight Kyoukai no Kanata vibes from this. Hopefully, this'll turn out to be as fun as that series. |
