I'd say early mahou shoujos like those of studio pierrot during the 80s.
Even as a guy I really like them, but both Creamy and Persia felt definitly girly.
Also Princess Tutu probably, but that's still sitting in my PTW so I can't say for sure.

Princess Jellyfish. It's literally a fujoshi anime about fujoshi made for fujoshi. It was too girly imo.
And yet that's still very easily watched by men as well. Josei series in general are after all quite mature and down to Earth like that

I mean obviously it depends on what people mean when they say "girly" but personally I'd rather think of something like Precure or one of those other magical girl kids' shows that's just overflowing with pink and happiness. You know the kind going completely overboard with it all similar to barbie dolls due to having a primary target audience of girls below the age of 10

Plenty of guys watch Precure as well. I find shows like Nana and Princess Jellyfish to be far more girly than shoujo anime targeted towards young audiences. Of course kids shows will be bright and colorful. I've found the shows targeted towards older audiences to be more difficult for me to watch personally just because of the feminine themes are just so blatantly overwhelming, and I'm a girl myself.

Other sacharine sweet animes:

-Tsuki ga Kirei
-Ultra Maniac

I don't know how to answer that. What does 'girly' even mean? Having as many gender stereotypes and clichés crammed into one series as possible?

It's not a properly defined term since all it relies on is what the person in question thinks is 'typical' for girls and I've encountered too large a variety of females over the years to still have any illusions of being able to pin them down to a handful of common attributes. It's just not representative of reality and I hate it when people generalize my own gender like that so I try not to do it myself.

There's a million different ways of being 'girly' or 'manly' once you look past outdated stereotypes, so answering this question just exposes what gender stereotypes you believe in tbh. Since I don't believe in any, I can't answer it :>

Gender stereotypes are not outdated, they are great! In case you can’t realize it, girly means feminine, so kind, caring, nice, submissive, cute. That is what girly is! It is a representation of the true female nature, which despite great efforts by the leftist bourgeoise, still exists in many ways. The only reason you see so many women divert from this today is because the leftist media and education system is using propaganda to get them to be less girly for the sake of the capitalist system!!!

Haha. Submissive doesn’t always mean sexual. You can be submissive to authority, for example.

I know what it means, how are women made submissive?

Well, there are anime that go out of thir way to iterally not show a single male character ever. The example I can think of the top of my mind is Love Live. In the very very very few moments it did have a male character on screen, they had the face hidden by a shadow(I heard it's very simillar to these "hentai" protagonists I've been hearing of)

As I said before, the reason many women divert from submissiveness is because of the media and education systems use propaganda to make them less girlish!

While Princess Tutu is indeed a show made for young girls...I think it'll surprise you with some of its content...it's a very sophisticated show with pretty dark stuff going on (in a good way). Think back to how the original Grimm's Fairytales were...yes, the ones that didn't get 'Disneyfied' to always be happy and sweet.

I never said it was but some people seem to not accept the fact it's a girly anime.

I was interested in it because I knew it, there aren't many well done dark-themed mahou shoujos around so when I heard about it I knew I had to see it.

That being said, an anime that focuses on ballet will stay girly no matter how dark, deep and good it is. But then again, the genre itself is supposed to have bit of girliness.

Obviously there are no "right answers" to this sort of question, but I would interpret it to be correctly answered by Sailor Moon due to its consistent empowerment of symbols of femininity. Various other girl-aimed mahou shoujo series would also make good answers.

True...but when I think of 'girliest anime' I think of shows that would ONLY appeal to young girls while alienating other audiences. Princess Tutu isn't one of those shows, despite its title and ballet theme. Which isn't its only focus; there are also badass boys with swords and insane writers and crow people; like...it's an experience like no other.

In contrast, Yumeiro Patisserie and Paradise Kiss are about baking cakes and the fashion world while being surrounded by good-looking guys...thus I would call them "girlier than Tutu" because I don't know if guys would appreciate that type of content. xD

True, I guess I didn't really see it under that light, haring girly I immediately thought about cute, sparkling and pink stuff... which I usually watch as well.

Dunno about Yumeiro Patisserie, but I know a couple of guys who really liked Paradise Kiss for the realistic characters ad romance and I did too, I'd say it's the second best anime on those aspects after Nana.

You need also to separate anime aimed at early or late elementary school vs middle school vs high school girls

Though I admit that shojo titles usually have the most creative OP/ED direction compared to shonen and many boys had a love crush also on shojo anime characters, as opposed to the more fanservicey shonen girls

Decided to watch this series after so many years finally so this is my pick (in a good way). Basically anything where Mitsuko Horie and Takeo Watanabe were involved in OP/ED
