Hypothetical: Exactly one year from now, you'll meet your waifu/husbando.

You get one day to catch their interest. Otherwise, they'll disappear back into the anime world, and you'll never get to see them again. If they lose interest the next day, they disappear. If you get friend zoned, they disappear. If you form a relationship with them, they stay for good.

What would be your game plan to win them over?
How would you prepare with the year you had?
Would you perhaps not even try to meet them so you could pretend they wouldn't reject you?

I'd just keep dreaming and continue with my escapism, I don't want reality to come crashing down. The pain of being rejected or the relationship not working out would be worse than the pain of him not being real. And hell, when I self-insert I do it in the form of an OC rather than my real self so if I was still my shitty real self then it wouldn't be the same at all.

God I'm pathetic.

Yeah i would probably self insert in the form of an OC as well,i don´t see any rule that prevents you from doing that,so that would probably be the best way to make things work out.

I better start studying dagashi. Although I'm sure despite my best efforts, I'll still get friend-zoned.

I guess it depends on where in the story she's coming from. At the beginning and middle of the anime I have serious chances to get her, since she looks for pathetic useless guys and I'm worse than the MC.
If it's towards the ending she started to heal her internal wounds, and it'd be better to not even try.

Asuka is easy to deal with, I'll just perfect my German and when she gets annoyed I'll show her who's the boss by saying: "bist du ihre?" And because she likes big strong reliable guys, I'll just train a little.

I would first make sure that they are all that I expected them to be. If they are, then show them every piece of medium that they are in as a fictional character. After they become aware, or if they were already aware, I would propose we spend the day together, or what's left of it.

If she enjoys my company, this world and understands my affection towards her, then
when we part I would ask her if she could would she spend more time here with me.

The rest is up to her.

lmao, that's not an actual german sentence tho xD

I'll lose first day, because my waifu is emotionless girl with no friends.
With husbando it so much easier. I just have to talk about horses with him

I mean, depending on who actually shows up, I'd either run the other way very quickly or... no, I guess I'd just run the other way regardless. Whether I get away or not, that's what would depend on which one I get.

This is what happens when both your top waifus are Nisio Isin villains.

I regret nothing. Anyone know how to beg for your life in Japanese?

I relate to all of this too much tbh, even the OC part

I could've tried to write out one of the many convoluted gameplans I've come up with but lmao nah, in the end I'd keep doing what I'm doing now ._.

My waifu isn't legal, so I'd let that shit go.

My husbando IS legal, but the issue with that is that I'm like, nine years older than him, so I'd also let that shit go.

For me, the problem with having a waifu/husbando is that the stay they same age (in most anime) while we get older, so eventually too big of an age gap would exist. I'll continue to love them for who they are in the show without regards to age, but I couldn't do it IRL.

Well, I did say I will perfect it, now I'm lousy at German. In my mind it sounded good, I wanted to say "are you crazy?"

ah, that would be 'Bist du verrückt?' or the slightly more unusual version that you were probably thinking of 'Bist du irre?' tho my personal preference would be a simple 'Spinnst du?'

Danke schön herr Pullman, now I really have to watch more German movies to get accustomed to the phrasing and the words. In high school I was better.

I think I'd let my w/h go. I like the fictionalized version of them, but I don't necessarily think I'd be compatible with the real person.

Seeing them irl would be a trip tho.

What I'm wondering is how would them becoming real work? Would it be a Roger Rabbit sort of deal or would they just look like really good cosplayers?

Hex Maniac: Age is undetermined and has a higher probability of murder.

So that leaves Wiz and considering that everyone in Konosuba is an ass to her, I think just inviting her on a date and then being nice to her is probably the safest bet.

doing that. but also expected there would be a dubbed voice behind :)

topic: it would be hard to talk to someone you don't have something in common. i mean the romance (for them), begins with a childhood friend encounter or a classmate. i never was in his life, japanese life :s

can't see how they would be useful here neither, would the character stay all day in your room? practically i wouldn't like a relationship of that style. but i could do well in anime world <.<

i could conform with a hook up, a night stand. but my attractiveness is down to zero so, it's kinda depressing. Anybody like us, think we're nice in our imagination!

I would try to learning Japanese. But she is just to young for me so nothing would come of it. Unless I can turn into Touma I have zero chance.

I just wouldn't waste my time.

I think it would be more fun to have Misaka meet Satou Rina. I would try to make that happen in that year.

As soon as you start thinking of your waifu/husbando irl it all starts breaking down. Either they're too young (Momo from To Love Ru is 14), or in the case of Tsubasa Hanekawa from Monogatari (who is actually 17 or 18 on wiki, so no jail bait) way too smart for me (I'm no dunce, but she's out of my league). Plus she's completely infatuated with Araragi.

That leaves Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, I imagine irl she'd be a bit full on, or she'd go all shy and quiet when confronted with our world & her fictional status. If I could sweet talk her into bed then I'd count myself fortunate, but more likely to get a black eye, lol.

That leaves Elena Arshavina from World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman. Now she is a potential waifu that I could see myself actually dating & I don't think she's too young either. I imagine a nice day out at an amusement park would tickle her fancy, then candle lit dinner for two.

I meant to ask, how come many people have a favourite waifu & husbando, is that a bi thing, having a favourite guy & girl? @MajesticOtaKing i notice you mention having both. Apologies if I'm asking a sensitive question I'm just curious? There are male characters I like in anime, of course, but none I'd say that I liked enough, or in that way, to be a husbando.

I only date men IRL, but I like 2D men and women. I don't really think of myself as bi, though I probably am. I really don't think about it that hard lol. I just like who I like.

For the record, I've met other women with both waifu and husbando, but I've never met a guy with both.

She's jailbait, so I guess I'd have to move to another country and learn another language. Lol.

I need more specifics. Does she appear anywhere I am? Can she speak my native language, or only Japanese?

Thanks for sharing, it's helpful to understand things from someone else's perspective. I'm not sure how I'd go about choosing a husbando, or the criteria for picking one. But if I had to hypothetically think about it, then maybe Theo Cornaro from Record of Grancrest War may be someone I'd pick, as he's pretty smooth & a nice guy. He'd make a great wingman & we could pick up loads of women together.
