Do you have an idea in mind of how long you'd like Dr. Stone to run?

Inagaki: One thing I can tell you is that in my head, I'm hoping three years and that's not to be greedy, but I definitely want to see it to the end. What I can definitely promise is that I would never stretch it out just for the sake of business. But I will definitely see it to the end.

I'm making a statement about making it longer than it needs to be due to business reasons because of my previous work, Eyeshield 21. Online, a lot of people were saying that maybe the editors had made it longer than necessary but in actuality that is exactly how I wanted to tell the story. There was also Murata-sensei's wish in there, too. That's why I wanted to double down on the guarantee that I would never overstay a story, so to speak.

Hehe, good news of you ask me. ;) The more Dr. Stone, the better. It's also good that Riichiro Inagaki emphasized that he won't stretch the story for the sake of business.

I always take these statements with a pinch of salt, I'd say if not three years then no more then six years. Simply for the amount of possibilities the story could go in in terms of directions. I only say that I take these statements with a pinch of salt given what Oda has said. Now does that mean i want Dr Stone to go on for 20+ Years (In my heart yes, but in my mind no! Defenitly not) it's just sometimes the arthor says one thing then just keeps getting ideas.

Case in point, a friend of mine wrote a book series and wanted to make it a trilogy but had too many ideas that he had to split the last book into two.

That's when I said to myself, when an arthour is like that, don't take it to me this, like I said as much as I would love it to run for 20+ years I would say either 5 more or possibly six more years would be fine with me.

The sales will go up in the next few volumes due to the more exciting stuff in the treasure island arc being further along.

tbh I'm shocked,angry and dissapointed

I don't know why the sales are that low, the characters are likable, the story is new ,interesting and the interaction between the characters in the story puts a smile on your face...

Last week I watched the anime and it's enjoying as hell to the point that Idecided not to wait season 2 and started reading the manga...

Sad that anything doesn't contain itchy or harem is doomed to fall nowadays

Does that mean it's getting axed soon or what ??

And I haven't become a fan for a whole week yet

i doubt it will get axed since international profit especially streaming profit is big and its the sole reason that the anime got a sequel

Internationally there's no denying it's one of the most popular anime/manga right now

Shounen Jump just has a really high standard for sales, even more so now after hits like KnY and JJK
