Accord to the article published by The Telegraph:
"South Korea’s Supreme Court has overturned a lower court decision and ruled that sexually explicit drawings of teenagers in “anime” cartoons and “manga” comics should be considered images of child sexual abuse."

"Lower courts had stated, however, that it was “unreasonable” to prosecute him on charges of disseminating images of children being abused simply because the characters in animated drawings wore school uniforms and had a “young appearance”.

This basically makes 98% of doujinshi legally on the same level as actual child porn. I don't know how SK defines sexually explicit content, but this might even make stuff like DxD, Seikon no Qwaser, or Ro-Kyu-Bu! illegal. The Supreme Court labeling any erotic character in a school uniform as child sex abuse is idiotic as it is perfectly plausible that one can be both a consenting adult and in high school. And I don't know if the courts realize this but in anime/manga there is often little distinguishing features between adult and adolescent charactes. Age has little influence on a characters appearance or behavior in this medium....

This part was especially good:
The lower courts said more evidence that the characters were under the legal age of consent would be required to go ahead with a prosecution. "

So they should be conducting interviews and background investigations into anime characters to see if they are lying about their age. It should be an easy investigation since they just have to pull up the character's birth certificate.

SK is still living up to it's Hell Chosun name.

seriously some people need to grow up. don't really have anything to say except this is far far too over the top and these people should be more concerned with other substantially more important issues. i mean really anyone in a school uniform even if they're a consenting adult can get you in trouble? wtf

im neutral on this we got a thread that got locked few days ago liken this to video games makes more violence

and the most popular psychology association APA shown on their meta-analysis of past studies says video games make people angry at least due to intense competition

but at the same time if you look at crime rates a lot of video gamers are not contributing to higher crime rate overall so same is true with pedophilia crimes not significantly increasing there in japan due to there lolita sexualizing culture
