THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
They're actually serious about making a cell phone with technology in this time age.

As far as I'm concerned though, this episode also added a lot more comedy with the imaginations. Looks like the village got to work and isn't kidding around about their scientific plan.

I've learned not to notice the science in this show anymore, that makes the show more fun.

Quite a lot of comedic scenes this episode, it was fun

Impressive that Chrom got the idea of a water wheel just like this

Yay! We're back to the stupid sciency stuff!

I like that Chrome came up with the turbine and not Senkuu. Their relation is the best part of this show. Sometimes, they make this anime feel like Andy Pandy. lol.

Bye bye age of manpower, and say hello to age of energy.

They really make a quick progress.

Oh right, which meme they showed in this episode ? Very curious about it.

I've just thought of something: if this acrobatic girl is wearing a pink leather, then are there in the world some mammels with pink skin? Because I don't think she dyed it, espacially when dying a leather probably isn't even possible, and also we all know what is Tsukasa's attitude towards technology.

Holy shit this episode was awesome. I was genuinely surprised when Chrome and the old guy were able to think of building a waterwheel without any previous knowledge of it. Good for them.

And now they've acquired hydroelectricity. Man, this shit is gonna get awesome

Also, what meme Kinro referencing? I'm even surprised he knows what a meme is lol

I just searched about this because I was curious, but I found that you can make your own dye with natural things, and to make a purple/pink one you need: water, salt, vinegar, BEET, and the piece of leather that you want to dye. So in theory they can do it if they know how, and Yuzuriha probably knows how to do it.
And yes, I'm bored.

Wonderful episode. Lots of funny moments. I loved that Chrome was able to put things together in his head after seeing how the gear worked. I loved that Senku gives them props and credit. He's so awesome. Not arrogant when he could be. Loved this episode.

I actually came up with a stupid theory, maybe due to all the nuclear plants that obviously exploded when humanity disappeared some animals could have lost their hairs and their skin changed color due to their evolution along the years
But we never saw any animals other than birds in the anime idk

Oh, how much I missed these kind of episodes. Seriously, seeing Senkuu and co. planning and crafting items is way more entertaining to watch than the main plot regarding Tsukasa (whose ridiculous deducting skills about Senkuu's future plans never cease to amaze me) and his absurd vendetta against adults.

Anyways, leaving aside the fact of Tsukasa deciding to wait until spring to attack (giving Senkuu lots of precious months to craft the "cellphones") instead of just raiding the village the following day, it was a good episode overall. The comedy was enjoyable and Chrome receiving a major role in the project was really appreciated as well.

Well yeah, but they said, that they originated from a zoo. You know wich animal can also be in zoo, and has kinda pink skin? Hippo, or at least I find that, as kinda pink.

These are the episodes that makes the series really cool. The Tsukasa ones on the other hand...

Chrome is definitively best boy. Really nice to see him make some things as well.

Also the fanservice is kinda strange. Like there are some hilariously good scenes regarding those but the animation in general lacks.

I'm guessing is so that young watchers understand what they're making.
I mean do kids these days where they are given a smartphone as soon as they get into elementary school(if not before) even know what a walkie-talkie is?

Seeing Senku and his group making cotton candy gives me nostalgic memories of a younger me enjoying some at a funfair. So it's no surprise that everyone really enjoyed the cotton candy a lot, almost to the point that I thought I was watching Food Wars instead! XD

Senku also made a nice gesture to Homura, who he knew that she would be spying on the village from afar. It took a while, but she eventually tried it for herself and the way she had that first bite was pretty sexy, in a way. =3

Good job Chrome for having a brainwave that led to him and the old buff man to creating a waterwheel. combined with their other stuff, they now have a hydroelectric power plant. That's another big step closer to achieving their goal of making phones.

All in all, this was another enjoyable episode. The animation quality was a bit lacking here and there, but the comedy and the character interactions are still great as always. ^_^

I like how in this episode we're starting to see what makes Chrome Chrome. He isn't just a "weaker" version of Senku. He's his own person. He may not be a walking encyclopedia like Senku, but he has his own strengths in science that even the great senku couldn't rival up to. This is just the first of the many times we see Chrome coming up with an idea that even Senku haven't thought of.

Today episode was kick ass, that's just awesome!

I was pondering why Senku didn't do this to begin with back when he created the manual crank generator.

They lived right next to the water, it would have made sense to use water to keep things moving.
