![]() Synopsis "We will open the curtain back in time, to the story of one lone manga creator." This story is about Gotou Kakushi, an artist who draws a somewhat vulgar manga, and tries to hide it for the sake of his daughter, Hime. A father-daughter tale of love and laughter. (Source: MU, edited) Prior to serialization, Kumeta published a full-color four-page preview of the manga in Monthly Shounen Magazine in November 2015, three years after ending Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei). The slice of life comedy series began regular serialization in the magazine's January 2016 issue the following month. Kodansha shipped the ninth volume on September 17. Commemorating the manga's first volume release, animation studio Shaft produced a promotional video in June 2016. Yukihiro Miyamoto (Maria†Holic) directed the promo, while Akiyuki Shinbou, director of the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei anime series, drew the storyboards. Voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya (Durarara!!, Noragami) played the father Kakushi Gotou, with Chika Anzai (Hibike! Euphonium, Grand Blue) voicing the daughter Hime Gotou. Hope it will be as great as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, if not better. Already felt SZS's vibe from the PV :) ![]() Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku is underrated. |
It's about a father-child bond... I highly doubt my ability to resist this even though my 2020 is packed af already ![]() |
I can't resist a Koji Kumeta work, especially if it's being adapted by Shaft and has Hiroshi Kamiya in it. I saw SZS and enjoyed it. Wishlist - Akiyuki Shinbu directs and Ai Nonaka is the daughter. ![]() |
