Popularity of the show

So I dropped this show after the 6th episode in Season 1 because I thought it was a pretty “ok” generic anime, but I’ve noticed the second season is scored well and it seems popular. Does the show get better after the 6th episode, or is the show just not for me? The thing I dislike most is the protagonist, maybe someone could enlighten me as to why you might like him. Also it feels like a very watered down romcom to me, it’s just filled with every trope imaginable and cliches pretty much never bother me. If someone wants to convince me why the show is good I’d appreciate it.

This show is trash and it is doesn’t get better with time. The main character still acts like a robot, if you were wondering if he had some development. So yeah, don’t continue watching this unless you want to torture yourself...

If the series did not convince you with the first 6 episodes, I doubt that it will do so with the following, since they are more of the same.

Anyway, it is a good series to hang out, it has fun and charismatic characters that work well with each other. If it were you, I would give it another chance but without great expectations.

Yeah, it's a generic anime, and the humor is very repetitive. I'm having fun, mainly because the 2 girls included last are very charismatic(and the childhood friend too). But I assure you, the show doesn't improve on almost anything(the op and ed get way better though). The protagonist is still blank and the the plot leads to absurd situations and stupid misunderstandings. If you din't liked those 6 episodes, you will not chance your mind about the show. But people who liked s1 are loving s2 because it's the same.

This show is thrash but it doesnt try to hide it and is quite enjoyable if u ask me so if 6 episodes didnt convince you than you wont like the rest i can assure you

Thanks for the responses everyone! Sounds like the show isn’t for me, which is fine. There were definitely parts that I did enjoy, so I understand why some like it.

At first I only liked this show because of the comedy and then character development of a certain heroine made me love this anime.

I believe that if you didn't like the first series, probably you won't like this one also. By the way, I think the first series is better than what we’ve seen until now.

The anime itself is a good show and is quite popular,but they are rushing the anime and they skipped a lot of arc in the manga.and the anime is not enjoyable anymore.and the ending is quite disappointing.

The show is good, so I dont know why you dropped it. I have rarely ever, in all my decades watching anime, seen just nicely fleshed out, individual characters from the ladies in a comedy slice of life show. And the attention to the details of their faces, personas was nice, though not terribly original. BUt whats original anymore? The show was great, 7.5/10 all around. nd the sequel is great too!
