1. Angel Beats! Specials (Special 48m Total)
   It's been a while since I watched the main show but this was a nice reminder.
   
2. Lord El-Melloi II Sei no Jikenbo: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note - Hakamori to Neko to Majutsushi (Special 24m)
   I'm finding this pretty interesting as a spin off, especially since I really liked Waver before already! I guess it's time to watch the show too?
   
3. Cooking with Valkyries (ONA 50m total)
   I'm really not familiar with the game this comes from but it was very lovely to follow even without that knowledge. Very simple and easy to watch. Liked seeing the characters' through their food stories and the food was actually decent, unlike a lot of the food related shows I've watched lately (I'm looking at you JK meshi and your absurd combinations).
   
4. Tokyo Ghoul: "Jack" (OVA 30M )
   You know, I don't recall the first season well enough, but this was enjoyable enough just by itself, so that was good.
   
5. Godzilla 1: Kaijuu Wakusei (Movie 1H 29M)
   Well now I need to grab the other movies. This might have not been as hype as the live action ones but still very easy to watch.
   
6. Tenchi Muyou!: Galaxy Police Mihoshi Space Adventure (OVA 27m)
   Interesting one but I feel like I'm missing a lot of the fun since I don't know the characters already. I might appreciate this more after I rewatch it after the main show. Still, I really like the designs oddly enough.
   
7. "Eiji" (OVA 48m)
   This was watchable but it felt like an intro that would lead to something...which eventually never got that something, so it's a bit disappointing on that front. It was a bit boring but probably since the characters weren't really to my liking either. For the naughty part of the mixed list for sure!
   
8. Quiz Magic Academy: The Original Animation 2 (OVA 29m)
   This wasn't any better than the first. But I chose the mixed list myself, I need some of these!
   
9. Norageki! (OVA 24m)
   Was intrigued by the "enjoyable but not enjoyable" description I received for this. It was pretty spot on but on the interest department, so I found it interesting but also not, haha. The premise is an old concept that I've seen in other titles done similarly. It kinda reminded me of the classic work 11 nin Iru and of course the more recent Kanata no Astra, that more people are aware of in the sense that there is a group of people stuck in a scifi setting and there's mystery with what's going on and all, but this one had quite the gambling analogies involved that confused me until I realised what they were going for in the end. Not bad, just nothing great either. Easy to watch but a bit hard on the visual department.

    All these ecchi ones were definitely a miss for me. Naughty list for sure.
    
13. Nozoki Ana (OVA 55m)
    This was definitely one for the "naughty" list. I think these last few ones I would never have watched if not for this, lol.
    
14. Rescue Me! (OVA 27m)
    I think this might be too much even for the naughty list.
    
15. Tokyo Ghoul: "Pinto" (OVA 24m)
    Maybe not as fun as the other TG Ova but recalled some of the characters at least. I should get around to watching s2 maybe, even if people keep telling me no.

❄️ Anime Completed from my gift:

1. Inu x Boku SS
   Had a lot of potential and contained a few nice moments, but the behavior of a certain main character really got onto my nerves and the way the bonding was handled was very forced. Had a hard time scoring this one. The entertainment value was a 6 but some of the actions qualify for a 4, so ended up sticking it in-between [5/10]
   
2. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
   One I've known of but been avoiding. This show consists of two ingredients; hard-to-watch uninteresting segments and dark humor one should not be laughing at. The dark humor was quite up my alley but the other content had me alternating episodes of this with episodes of InoBoku. I think Shaft being behind the wheel of this one helped, they aren't unfamiliar with dark jokes after all [5/10]
   
3. Melty Lancer
   The one I was most excited to watch I saved for last. This one didn't necessarily have a lot of flaws but due to an at first unlikeable cast it felt like a chore to watch up to episode 4. Episode 5 was already much better and Episode 6 is where things get good. Sadly with most of the episodes being hard to sit through there were times I paused to seek entertainment elsewhere. I'm the most disappointed in this one [5/10]

   Comment: Presentationally great, and the overall concept is fascinating. I don’t think it delivered on being an overall satisfactory watch however. There’s also a couple of characters I don’t like and things that just don’t make sense.
   
2. Yuri!!! on Ice
   Score: 8
   Comment: Even purely on a sports competition basis this scratched my itch. The character arcs between each competitor is also fully realized and I love how optimistic and vibrant everything is. Yurio is a seething ball of rage and I love him.

1. Gunslinger Girl
   Comment: This was the most unexpected positive surprise out of the present. Didin't expect to like it that much, since I had some fair amount of prejudices for it (so 'girly driven', etc), but it proved me so wrong. I enjoyed the episodic approach which allowed a lot of subtle characterization of the characters via sidenotes. Definitely interested in seeing how the story continues in the second season (and the manga, as well). It hit some high notes that reminded me of one of my fave series Noir. 9/10
   
2. Tenshi no Tamago
   Comment: Mhh. I am a bit torn about it. It is a stunning piece and so up to ones imagination and interpretation as it would be expected from it. I only feel comfortable in giving it a 5/10 to evade an actual rating and go the diplomatic route, though. It has some really amazing moments, but also some narrative decisions that made it hard to like (personally). At least I can say of having seen it now.
   
3. Space☆Dandy (watched 5 out of 13 episodes so far to meet 8h)
   Comment: Yes, I liked Bebop but I already expected Dandy to be a bit more on the goofy side. Other than with Gunslinger Girl, I am not that big of a fan of the episodic narrative that - unlike Bebop did - doesn't have an overarching storyline, keeping me entertained enough to watch more than just one episode per day. It is funny, but some gags are already wearing off a bit. Thanks to BONES stunning visuals and quirky side characters it's currently sitting at a 6.5/10. I expect it to end up on a 7/10 after finishing it.
   

Total time: 18*24 minutes + 71 minutes = 503 minutes (8.38 hours)

All in all I am super happy for the list, so thank you very much, dear Santa. Once I'll find out who you are, I'll get in touch with you again regarding the thing you wondered about reading my likes/dislikes list. I also hope you got your christmas presents for your family just in time after having me as such a pain in the arse. :D Will also watch the OVA you've given to me, but I currently don't have enough time, so it has to wait a bit longer.

   I always enjoy Ikuhara madness, this was a fun series and very indicative of wlw culture in Japan.

   Enjoyed this more than I expected, a frustrating ending but realistic. Already recommending it to others.
   
3. Wata no Kuni Hoshi (96 min)
   This was a very different! The art was pretty and the anthropomorphism of the cats was strange but interesting. It felt a bit long, but overall a sweet movie.
   
4. Shashinkan (16 min)
   Probably my favorite of the bunch. I did get a little emotional as someone else with a severe case of grump face.

   Comment: As you might have expected, I liked this one a lot. More emotional than I would have expected but that's a good thing. Had a bit of an awkward time settling into the girls having tails, but other than that, good pick. Suzuka best girl. Score: 9/10
   
2. Aldnoah.Zero (Watched full series, 276 min; Dec 22-Dec 28)
   Comment: A bit of a slow burner but I liked it. Mechas not jarring. The ending however, is a clusterfuck. I just can't deal with it whatsoever. Not sure if I'm gonna watch S2. May need more closure though. Score: 8/10
