I think a big problem is that if they adapted it properly from the beginning, it would take a long time to get people actually interested, and most would just shit on it or avoid it based on the bad impression left by the beginning episodes. The production committee and studio would have to be willing to put up with lots of bad ratings for quite a while before it actually kicked into high gear. And since they aren't running a charity, I don't think they'd be willing to go the slow route. Skipping Extra and especially Unlimited completely drains the impact and intrigue of Alternative in the beginning. Would be kind of like skipping over Fate and UBW and going straight to Heaven's Feel. Skipping all the ground work and setup. I bet it'll be a rushed mess. Totally hopeful that it'll actually be good though. A good MLA adaptation would be a dream come true. Fingers crossed Kouki won't let this series burn in flames. |

| read the VN before it's too late, there is so much content, they have to skip so much stuff especially Alternative VN is alomost like a proper Anime, a lot of animated scenes, you can put the VN on auto forward and you have the full anime experience, just a really long and good one |
| I can’t believe that I’m going to be saying this: This adaptation will most definitely be worse than the Tsukihime anime adaptation. And it sucks because this is my favorite VN of all time. Don’t know what they were thinking when they decided to not adapt Extra and/or Unlimited first. |

| I'm playing Alternative currently and man there's so much promise here. But the anime skipping over Extra and Unlimited and have Alternative only be a 2 cour too considering that is not the right move at all. Sure, I hate Extra as a stand alone game and Unlimited is solid but not spectacular, but that's again only as a stand alone game. But both of those when you look at it as a minor part of the whole Alternative game, are important in the grand scheme of things when building up for Alternative. The lack of that and just skipping to Alternative, or just maybe spending a couple episodes to adapt those and using the rest to finish off Alternative's portion for the anime is a mistake that just screams disappointment for the anime by the end. |
