THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Not going to lie, the first half of this episode bored me with the usual humor. Shinra's fiery temper still shows literally in both his attitude and abilities. It seems he just can't seem to get along with Arthur LOL. At least the action was decent I guess. |

Jesus, in a middle of a battle those two really have to work together lmfao. Why did the enemies just stop attacking when they started whispering about their plan though!?!?!? Besides that, I liked this episode haha |

The moment i realized it's friday and a new ep of this is coming out, I also realized "oh right, that Stark guy will like usual be the first person ever to watch the new episode. He'll watch it before everyone else around the world and then make the new episode post." Is this just a different timezone thing or do you have a backstage pass to every studio in Japan? Decently entertaining followup episode. |

If Beni and Konro are so much caring for each other then they should married already! (and don't forget to invite me!) Shinra and Arthur's interaction is gold, I hope it'll blossom into something beautiful someday... (and please invite me too!) I feel like despite this show has many jokes, there are a lot of people dying, it's too cruel, those people are so lovely. |

I don't really like the plot of this episode and of the anime overall but this episode was captivating because of the GREAT animation, that fight was really beautiful tbh |

Hmm so Beni and Konro was actually inducted into the fire force then. Still it did well on showing not just the unique bond that existed between the two but also the attitude that they have towards the fire force as well. Damm Hika and Hina's argument sure was amusing. Hmm using mimics to sow confusion and cause disruption huh crafty tactic but so far an effective one. Using fire to effect blood vessels so as to change one's face though sure is an interesting idea. The members of the evangelist cult though sure are proving to be quite the tough opponents. Thankfully the mimic was dealt with by Takehisa and Tamaki before things escalated. Though the fact that each region has its own beliefs sure is making things harder for the team than it should. While certainly the teamup between Shinra and Arthur sure was fun. Overall an excellent ep that combined excellent character expansion via Beni and Konro's past and action via the cults assault on the town and the members of the 7th and 8th. This ep also shows just powerful the followers of the evangelist actually are. |

This anime had quite the strong start, but since then it went downhill pretty fast. Not even DP great staff can redeem this. sockerdricka said: Stark700 said: THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. Damn this is so intense I'm worried about Hikage. Hope she doesn't get abducted by these weirdos because she's compatible or sth Shinra's and Arthur's teamwork was so bad lmao. Well they managed to get it done in the end. Also nice 'knight' joke there Shinra I like how the enemies didn't give any comments about the bad teamwork tbh, then again I wonder why they didn't just attack when Shinra and Arthur had that many openings I.. kind of dislike Beni here tho... Like.. did he seriously run around the whole town and realize the third time "this is the same thing that happened to me back then"? |

The episode was a bit disappointing for me. 1rst of all shinra couldn't fight against arrow in the manga and in the anime they made it like shinra actually had chances to beat her which that was not the case. The good thing they did in this episode was show yona now and not like the manga did it where they showed him in the beginning of the arc and took away some of the mystery of how they were able to mimic appearences. The episode average rate at best for me and the action felt underwhelming and a bit boring. |

The animation was so weird, it had movements but the impact wasnt there, like you don't get the feeling that their attacks were connecting. I actually laughed out loud when Shinra was still talking about a plan and charged straight in and simultaneously Arthur almost sliced him hahahaha, that was good gag execution, and Maki turning a fire arrow she couldn't repel into a psupsu fire ball and her adorable reaction after catching it! That being said other than the ones I mentioned this was yet another meh episode... this had such a strong start too... |

To start off it's laughably silly that suddenly the enemy has the capability to create exact copies of other people with the exact same looks and voices. That came from nowhere. They also didn't address how they completely replicate the voice and mannerisms of the person they copy The explanation in this episode for how it was done was even more stupid (they mold an old geezer into a skinny 12 year old girl? yeah right). I know it's a shounen series so I'm fully prepared to suspend my disbelief, but still the show continues to amaze me in all the stupid ridiculous developments (i still find it entertaining enough not to drop it though). It's even more disappointing since from the start I thought the series had the potential to be something so much better, and I llove the setting. Like i said I still find it entertaining though, i just feel the show could have been so much more. |

This anime is rather confusing for me. I'm enjoying it, but I feel like sometimes they just lose theirselves in it. I feel like the overall story has so many things around it it's actually hard to keep up and know we're we at. I just hope they can do a little better on the coming episodes. |

That's one hell of a bs explanation to change someone's face, and I don't see how it changes voices or hair. Humans aren't heatmoldable. That aside, dude should use it on himself, because god damn is he and his smile fugly. Almost as fugly as that bug eating moment. I have to agree though, this humor is pretty damn lame. Most of Fire Force is extremely formulaic, and utilitizes extremely common generics and doesn't do so especially well. The comedy, the fan service character, the moe loli characters, Shinra and his generic hero platitudes, etc. Funny how Shinra is actually started to use his brain. Which was nice, until it didn't last and turned into a mid battle argument. Oh well. All in all, a pretty average FF episode. |

Arthur is the freaking man, he never fails to make me laugh. When he just straight up beat the hell out of that impostor twin I laughed so much. Fight sequences are great as always, love watching them. Arthur and Shinra's tag team needs some work but their a fun duo. Maki subduing that arrow was awesome as well. My only complaint about this arc is that I'm not really feeling the story all that much. |

Leaving the good animation aside, this was another so-so episode. The first half was kinda boring and the second one, though a bit more entertaining due to the fight scenes, wasn't really special either. Fair enough, I have to say that seeing Arthur attacking a "little girl" out of nowhere gave me a good laugh. |

Well ... Konro sacrificed himself for Benimaru and also the defeat of that demonic Infernal opened the door for them to become the seventh company. The evangelists already made their move and generated more chaos and disorder with the impostors, HIkage and Hinata were also involved in this disaster, but incredibly Arthur solved this and gave a strong blow with his knee in the face to the imposter and thus revealed his I obviously laughed a lot about how the rest of the eighth company repressed him for his savage act, but I must say that it made me sick to see that Hikage's imposter was an old man. Today we were introduced to some members of the evangelist cult, Yona is undoubtedly the sickest of all, his ability to modify faces with his pyrokinesis is something that can be dangerous if his targets are clear. Those of the evangelist cult started a hell in Asakusa and several people became Infernals, which caused unprecedented chaos. Maki was about to have the same fate as Rekka, but her decision quickly saved her in time. Too bad the old impostor was transformed into Infernal, I hope nothing bad happens to Hikage. Shinra and Arthur working together was something fun and unexpected, but they had to do it since the two cultists form a great team, but after they both managed to work as a team one of the cultists takes out the infernalizing bug and this is where things get complicated. I felt that in this episode Benimaru had little relevance, he practically lost his way after seeing that the inhabitants of Asakusa were going through the same situation as him. The animation and art continue with its high quality, and I hope that the fight that comes against the cultists will have a quality equal or better than until now. |

He can inflame the skin surface obviously and no he doesn't change the body proportions. I don't know who said that but obviously his observation skills are like super low tier as a watcher and his brain is stupid. His proportions haven't changed at all(it happens that i am a hobbist artist so i think i know few things about body proportions). He just got his shape inflamed by the process. Have you ever been stung by a bee or a wasp? You have that specific part changed because of inflamation it happens? I go stung by bees 1-2 times in the forehead and it changed my look completely. This guy uses the same thing he uses inflamation to change the skin and muscles if you pay attention to the shape of the bold guy to who he tries to change, he doesn't make him grow hair or change his hair like someone claimed he did neither the old guy who was made to look like one of the twin girls. That guy had similar body proportions with that girl he was short also the hair was fake or made it look the one that the twins had obviously. Obviously if he can use inflamation to change the muscles it can affect vocal cords it is like when someone is sick or after getting a cold his voice is sounding different. |

Both Arthur and Shinra r strong on their own but when it comes to team work they both suck. They should really improve that. |

What's is this "By Order of the Empire you are Formally Inducted" into the Fire Force stuff...? -Why would the Government recruit someone into the Force. They already said The Hajima Industries Company oversee the Fire Force, Even though that has a problem. -Why would the Government put an Industry Company in charge and not require that they share information to figure out the Mystery of Human Combustion? -The Fire Force people aren't given any information from the "Higher Ups" about the results of the research. Why wouldn't the government not require that the research be public...? -Why would the Government allow an Industry Company the Jurisdiction of sending "Fire Fighters" to kill bad guys and Infernals? So almost anybody who Joins can get a License to KILL? -What is the Religious stuff... The Fire Forces are controlled by a Leading Industry Company. Either they're not Professional at all or the Religious aspect of this anime didn't make sense or Fit. -YES, Im aware that the Religious stuff isn't required by the Hajima Industries But WHY would a Company for SAVING HUMANITY allow Bosses to FORCE RELIGION on his subordinates. The Bosses can just turn down newcomes if they don't want to agree to their Religious activities. WHY if Humanity is at risk??? So either the Government of Japan portrayed by this Anime operates in a dumb/abusable/mischievous way, or The people of that Japan are stupid enough to allow their Government to Risk everyone's safety when Humanity is at risk or, or It isn't a Democracy, or This Anime doesn't make sense. Or I'm wrong and didn't pay attention/forgot about something. Help me out here, Somebody Explain. |

Either They're not Professional at all or the Religious aspect of this anime didn't make sense or Fit. So either the Government of Tokyo, Japan portrayed by this Anime operates in a dumb/abusable/possibly mischievous way, or This Anime doesn't make sense. Or I'm wrong and didn't pay attention/forgot about something. Help me out here, Somebody Explain. You missed a lot, apparently. All this stuff was covered from the beginning, during the first ten or so episodes. The companies aren't unified at all, in fact there are different groups that came together and each one got a proper division of the Fire Force, but while they technically cooperate, each one has its own agenda. The government itself tries to institute more divisions of the Fire Force on its own (just like the 7th). Also, the "government" is the Tokyo empire, and it's a deeply religious institution, hence why all fire soldiers pray for the infernals before killing them, and that itself is suspicious since the people working with the Evangelist are still believers in that religion, just crazy extremists. The fact the the 8th company's job is to spy and investigate the other companies is proof enough that nothing in this whole system should be blindly trusted. |

@LeloTheUnamused "You missed a lot, apparently" "The companies aren't unified at all," Wrong because I didn't miss that. I even acknowledged that in the 2nd Line. "-Why would the Government put an Industry Company in charge and not require that they share information to figure out the Mystery of Human Combustion?" You said, "Also, the "government" is the Tokyo empire, and it's a deeply religious institution, hence why all fire soldiers pray" I don't recall the Anime saying they all pray. (lets say I didn't see that) That still makes no sense. Why would the a religious government refuse help of people who aren't of their Religion if Humanity is at risk...? And why would they let an Industry Company give people A LICENCE TO KILL. Their Empire is Corrupt maybe? |

The good thing they did in this episode was show yona now and not like the manga did it where they showed him in the beginning of the arc and took away some of the mystery of how they were able to mimic appearences. The episode average rate at best for me and the action felt underwhelming and a bit boring. I found the episode slightly disappointing but for completely opposite reasons compared to yours. I am sure they explained it when they introduced the guy he actually exposition this himself he said he uses heat to manipulate the blood vessels dilating his capillaries and lymph ducts but i am not sure how correct is the sub translation so i won't treat this as the official translation But to change the entire body without any flaws and mimic their mannerism flawlessly? that's just way beyond mimicking faces, it's straight up BS. That's if the sub is correct which i doubt then again are they really complains about this? Like would you rather liked a more generic excuse instead? Something like him saying " by using my abilities i am changing your face" and zero explanation on how he does it? Would you rather have some generic excuse like this? instead? or a more searched answer? Like is this so super difficult to swallow? Like you guys are pretending it is? He can inflame the skin surface obviously and no he doesn't change the body proportions. I don't know who said that but obviously his observation skills are like super low tier as a watcher and his brain is stupid. Obviously if he can use inflamation to change the muscles it can affect vocal cords it is like when someone is sick or after getting a cold his voice is sounding different. Dude, understand, I can accept if they can mimic faces and maybe vocal cords too via "heat molding", but to "mold" body proportions and mannerism perfectly without leaving any mark is straight up broken and unreal. There's a limit on how much suspension of disbelief a single individual can handle. Now, I don't know if there is someone else who can mimic body proportions or shit like that, but I don't really care anymore. |

And why would they let an Industry Company give people A LICENCE TO KILL. Their Empire is Corrupt maybe? The 1st company, the most important, is deeply religious. All companies have a church and sisters/religious figures for their prayers. Even ordinary soldiers believe in the religion (like Hinawa's friend wanting a baptized gun). The 7th is the only company shown to be deeply different in their ways, rejecting the religion and usual methods of the Empire. The government is clearly presented as not that trustworthy, and the way they show/don't show up in certain events (like appearing in Asakusa after the chaos was over and kinda forcing them to become the 7th division) is suspicious. Also Water-sama said: why would a religious government refuse help of people who aren't of their Religion if Humanity is at risk...? I'm sorry but that doesn't mean anything. People and religions in our real life have done way worse than that for thousands of years. Religion is preached by people, people have interest, and almost all of the time self interests >> public interests. Yes, even if the world is ending. So, saying that it doesn't make sense because a religious government should help all people is not a valid point. And when we consider the whole context for this government and that religion, it's even more clear that you can't expect them to be that utopic and generous. Everything is presented as doubtful and suspicious (again, the whole point of the first episodes was that the Fire Force itself is highly suspicious and that there are unknown forces and interests at work), and that includes the government. You should find its ways weird and suspicious. (plus, "licence to kill"? I don't get what you mean, Infernals are flaming zombies that threaten normal people and, as for now, there is no "cure" for that. Of course fire soldiers are authorized to kill them, there is literally no other way to stop them) |

@LeloTheUnamused Also. I already know that > "The fact the the 8th company's job is to spy and investigate the other companies is proof enough that nothing in this whole system should be blindly trusted" The problem with that is, It actually doesn't make any sense at all. Who are they working and spying for? -The Government can't be Spying on itself, Because the "Suspicious System" because they partly created this whole Abuse-ble Retarded System. -Hajima can't be the Suspicious Bad Guys. The Government could just make Hajima Industries work according to their Law thus ELIMINATING THE SUSPICION IN THE FIRST PLACE. -Hajima Industries can't be spying on itself. THEY DON'T SHARE THE INFORMATION with the Fire Force companies (or the public). Which allows the Force to kill who they want, and possibly get away with bad things considering how they're Licensed to Burn people to ASHES. -Hajima can't be spying on the Government because They Don't Require Information To Be Shared. I wouldn't have to spy on you If I made you give me your Information, cause it's their Company. The Government wouldn't even approve the creation of the Investigation Unit if that was the case. (because Hajima and the Government is working together). 2 Conclusions Here. This Anime actually doesn't make sense and also No Offense but I dont think you fully understand it. Why would someone spy on themselves to bring themselves down? Why would I waste time spying on someone who I allowed not to SHARE INFORMATION WITH US and THE PUBLIC ? (which includes the Fire Force companies). |

"Guys I have a lot of questions did I miss something?" "Yeah you missed these things" "No I didn't I knew them already" Then why the hell do you keep missing the points even after explanations? If I am too specific, you complain and change the question. If I semplify it too much, you complain, miss the point and start arguing things I didn't say in a roundabout way. All the while still misunderstanding things that were already established episodes ago, and mixing with your ideas that I don't even know if they're suggestions, theories or pure bollocks. Sorry, I'm not wasting my time on this matter anymore. I hope someone else (except Gourmetforce) has the patience to argue with you, if it's even worth it. |
