Sci-Fi / Space Travel anime.

Hey, first of all, thank you for taking the time and reading this and trying to help.

I am looking for an anime similar to Kanata no Astra, Planetes or Sidonia no Kishi for example.

The tv show "The Expanse" would also be a perfect example of the type of anime I am looking for. Preferably not Mecha.

So I'm basically looking for an anime with space travel in it. I'd prefer it to be a "newer" anime so 2000+.

Not necessarily about traveling in space, but if you want a sci-fi anime about characters wanting to go to space, watch Twin Spica.
Gets emotional at times, and the original manga is one of my favorites.

I also suggest Crest of the Stars.

Terra e-Not space travel per se, but the Mu do move around in a spaceship trying to find a homeland where humans can't find them

Starship Operators-Some cadets learn thier home planet surrendered to another while on a test flight, and decide to televise thier rebellion across the star system in the hopes of starting a movement

Try out Aldnoah Zero. I'm surprised it came out that long ago, hasn't felt that long to me.
