| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That OP song, not bad but there are some spoiler characters in it. We got introduction of the main characters again with Deku, Momo, Invisible Girl, etc. along with a recap of some of the previous season events. Ochaco Uraraka is looking cute as hell this season.  It's a filler recap but it got me back into the mood of the show again. ED looks interesting as it shows a lot of for the upcoming arc. Overhaul also spotted after the ED. For those wondering, it's airing on YTV today even though there's a typhoon today. I don't think subs will be delayed. |

| Not much to comment since it’s filler as fuck and I hate that this recap stuff is just going to keep going onward. Also that forced romance had me eye rolling. The OP is shonen as fuck (no not in a good way) and I really wish they’d you know, not dump the entire cast into the OP when 3/4 of them aren’t even gonna be present. The ED actually looks aesthetic and has a vision, made me weep a bit. Whatever let’s just get to the meat of this season next week. |

| The delays from Funimation are confirmed. I watched it live on a secondary broadcast. I mean if it had to be an episode I’m glad it was the filler instead of later down the line. |

| it's a shame that it's a filler, but it's sort of to be expected at this point. I'm fine with it though because now I actually remember the second half of season 3 lol. Really liked the reporter actually, I wonder if he'll appear again when Midoriya's the symbol of peace. Can't wait for episode 2. |

| This episode was pretty good, the OP&ED are forgetables imo. The recap on all the characters in the class and their power was a good idea. The animation looks as good as the previous ones, I'm looking forward for the next episode. |

| Recap and filler...as it is for Seasons 2 and 3 beforehand. And...a little bit from the Futari no Hero movie. Actually I'd think this was essential if it has been a year, ESPECIALLY for anime-onlys (manga readers already know what's going on). According to ChibiReviews (to which he was an IMMENSE BnHA fan), it is in preparation for the series of events that are in session for this season (Overhaul Arc etc.), so I'd understand if this was a week-long timegap for the staff involved to get things going. OP and ED are always good as it gets for the popular Shounen series. And a 2-cour (minus 1 episode now), this show will still get the hype growing bigger and bigger. |

| Well, MHA is back, here comes the new wave of toxicity and yaoi doujins. Nevertheless, good episode, the opening is good but animation-wise, not so much. The ending though is great. There aren’t many things to say about this episode since it was mostly a recap, but it was still a decent pilot episode. Overall, 3/5, I guess? |

| I'm glad the journalist turned out to be a good guy in the end. I was worried he was going to sell out Midoriya's secret for a quick buck. There was some recap, yeah, but as someone who hasn't read the manga, I can't really distinguish between what's filler and what isn't. The new ending theme was weird. Why is it focused on some little girl we haven't even been introduced to yet? Kind of an odd choice. |
| I really dig the new opening, songwise definitely better than the last two imo. And the episode wasn't too shabby either, in fact pretty well done for a recap. Hyped that S4 with my favorite arc is finally here. |

| Episode is out on CR now and this was quite an entertaining watch despite it being a recap, maybe it's because I haven't rewatched the seasons in advance to this season 4. Anyway, we got an interesting journalist this episode with some very nice lively current events. Really appreciated the focus on Ochaco too, hopefully the ship will sail through the course of the season. Pretty cool Op and ED! Op visuals are fairly good but the ED visuals are really awesome! Looking forward to the next episode, nice little teaser there in the end! |

| Idk if I trust this plus ultra cameraman journalist, tbh... But that aside - this was a great episode! Nothing exceptional, but a good dose of what we've been missing for a year: all these dorks and their extravagant school, complete with two of the favourite teachers. Things haven't changed either: Aizawa is still as uninterested as ever, All Might is still Dad Might, Mineta is still a pervert, Bakugou is still explosive, and Izuku is still mighty uncomfortable in the close proximity of the opposite sex. xD All in all, it was a perfect appetizer for a new season. |

| The opening is kinda underwhelming BUT it spoils nothing, so I'm actually glad about it. But the ending is downright amazing, visuals are great, and anime original, the song is exactly the right mood for this arc. The episode in itself was way better than S3's first, so I'm actually really satisfied with what we got so far. Now here we go for a new season of "overrated trash"and "Mid Hero Academia" threads. For real really glad MHA's back, this season should be more consistent than 3, and if they adapt up to where I hope they will, it'll most likely become my favorite one. |
| Now, this is some top quality recap with a nice side story for Tane-chan. It would be amazing if he returns after Deku becomes the next symbol of peace. Wish every other anime recap would come close to this (except Mob Psycho S1 recap, that's a Masterpiece). God this definitely brought me back to MHA again, next Saturday cannot come any sooner. |

| I'm not surprised that we start off season 4 with a recap/filler type of episode, but I was expecting that, to be honest. Plus, for an episode like this, I did enjoy it. =) I was a bit unsure about the freelance journalist, Tokuda and what his true motive was, but he's a truly good and honest guy. It didn't take him long to deduct that Midoriya was All Might's successor, but I did like the talk the two of them had and Tokuda's flashback showing how All Might made a big impression on him. The new OP/ED songs are very good and the animations are nice as well. The animation for the episode is on par with the previous season from the get-go, so that's good as well. The next episode looks promising, so I'm looking forward to it. =D |
| when an anime is good, even the filler and recaps are good LMFAOOO was it just me? i kinda teared up like 10 times throughout the episode. like holy hell, it was literally just repeated flashbacks but i was FEELING it. |
| Actually a good filler/re-introduction episode. It was wel done with someone who views the students from the outside. Did not mind it at all. Though there are a lot of salty comments here already, why though.. |

| I'm guessing they always want to do a recap on the first episode for nostalgia sake and filler it for fun but I feel like it's a waste of an episode. Still, this episode was interesting. I feel it was forced in many ways, the beauty of One for All is that not many know about it and how All Might is training a successor, only a select few know and some rando ugly as fuck, ikemen-wannabe comes in with his knowledge to encourage Midoriya. His quirk is awesome but I don't know why Mina thinks this guy looks handsome, he looks like a perv. I am liking both OP and ED. The ED contains lots of and I am fine with that. |
