| Saw a thread about anime people dislike with a high score, so I thought I would make the opposite. Mine would be Darling in the FranXX and of course the most controversial, the first season of SAO, which I both enjoyed. |

| Bikini Warriors. Each episode is about 4 minutes long. It's about Half Naked girls with nice ass and titties who do perverted things and get treated pervertedly in an RPG like world. Basic ECCHI with decent Comedy. I don't understand how in the fuck an Anime for Ass and Tits and Comedy is rated 5.28... What else could they watch it for? Couldn't be the plot. |

| Okaasan Online. It's trash just like a lot of the uninspired Isekai we're seeing lately, but I don't know what sort of audience it managed to gather to be sitting at a score that low compared to the rest of them. Aybid said: Fairy Tail, despite 7.99 rating, is one of the most despised series from my experience. For perfectly good reason though, it's an insulting excuse for anything. In fact I'd say it doesn't deserve the hate, because at this point the haters have more passion for the series than the creator himself does lol |

| What is the threshold for what you consider to be a low score, OP? | Punch Line is definetely one. It's funny, has a good cast of characters, good animation, interesting story and some very good plot twists. It deserved much more than the 7.09 it got. More like a 7.80 IMO (I gave it 9, though). I can't believe it has a lower score than Flip Flappers, when the two are so similar and Punchline is better in every possible way (maybe slightly worse animation). Maybe people get turned off by the fan service? But then again Highschool DxD has 7.48, so maybe it doesn't have enough fanservice? |

I love thrillers as well, but I'd say I found it, while entertaining, more heartwrenching than frightening, disturbing, or surprising (but I'm desensitized as hell, so probably a bad arbiter on that). I'd say it takes you on an emotional rollercoaster with compelling content each episode, a dark throughout despite oscillating between grisly events and comedic relief + almost Slice of Life-esque downtime, and did something I really respect by placing someone who would be the villain in a lot of other shows as the POV character. Are you familiar with the Lifetime movie network in the U.S.? Nowadays it's mocked for having a lot of sappy and rushed made for TV movies, but in the 90s they seemed to have some more raw stories about teenagers committing murder, suicide/self-harm, schizoprehenics and bipolar cases, child abduction, etc. And I loved these budget thriller flicks. It actually reminds me of a longer more plotted (and animated) version of that. The animation is nice, but not hyper-realistic or anything - It's just standard anime animation, and yet still, it feels like something that could have been a live action thriller on Lifetime. Maybe it's also the anime equivalent of something like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer or Natural Born Killers. Like a down to earth portrayal of an abnormal minded criminal deviant that can be shocking or even a little endearing. There are a few superfluous characters and dumb kind of anime humor scenes (IMO), but it also felt like a slightly lesser non-supernatural Elfen Lied to me, as another example. It's an 8 to me. | Fairy Tail, i've always liked it, but that's only because I started watching it years ago, so it's got sentimental value for me. But it's a show that draws a lot of hate, and I can kinda understand why, the story starts strong with a great cast of interesting characters, but that potential isn't fulfilled, and although it's an enjoyable watch, it could've been so much better. As a thought exercise, if I hadn't watched it then I'm not sure I'd pick it up now. I'd say a "low score" would be 5 or below, an undisputedly poor show. Even so I imagine there's someone who liked it. I haven't completed any shows that I scored that low, I'd drop them after a few eps. |

| Evangelion I know, It´s got a high score and has critical acclaim, but alot of people that I know scoff at it, call it "2deep4me" and cant seem to put themselves in the shoes of the characters at all. When did people become THAT dependent on self-inserts? Oh and literally ANY analysis of the show is seen as "reaching" and just fan theories, even if the show goes out of its way to be extra clear about its themes and say "this is what this show is about" (think of hedgehog's dilemma and human instrumentality, kabbala etc) |

| Gokudolls, a.k.a. Back Street Girls. It's dumb, and it's animation is definitely poor, but it's my kind of dumb, and the animation being poor doesn't matter and even sets it apart from other comedy shows to me. You could probably write a hundred different and better jokes with the premise it has, but I don't care, I enjoy the humor. |

| One Punch Man season 2 - The animation and art are worse than season 1 but the content is superior. Season 1 was mostly just establishing Saitama's strength and introducing characters. Season 2 does a lot more to develop the characters and advance the story. If it had the same production quality as season 1 it would surpass it in much the same way Mob Psycho 100's second season surpassed the first. School Days - It's not fantastic but it's not deserving of the level of hate it gets. Ousama Game - I think it's terrible but I like it anyway. It's an entertaining sort of bad show. |
| Well two of my all time favorites are Darling in the Franxx and SAO (seasons 1 and 2 + film) and I feel like both of them get way too much hate. Some others I love that have lower scores are Gamers, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan, Fuuka, and Masamune-kun’s Revenge. |
| Some of my guilty pleasures are cute and overly clichéd Shoujo romances. They're usually full of unpopular tropes, so people tend to avoid them for their repetitive use of stereotypes. I like to list Wolf Girl & Black Prince in that context. Luckily, there are other examples like Fruits Basket that seem to be loved by most people. Also, Jojo doesn't have a low rating, but I often get hate messages for it being my favorite anime and manga. I don't know how much you need to hate something to go that far, but here we are. I even accept that some people just don't like it, so I really can't see the reason why it would trigger them. |

| Amnesia: The Animation. I don't care if the main character has the personality of milk or that I probably have my nostalgia glasses on, that show is probably the best reverse harem that I can think of. |
