Heh, Gray still has a sense of fear that Lord El-Melloi II would leave far away for the Holy Grail war.

A pretty calm episode for the season's finale though. I mean, compared to some of the previous episodes of this arc, it definitely felt more lighthearted and also had more focus on Gray this time around.

I hope the upcoming FGO anime will be better.

It's not brother in law, but adopted siblings.

I really enjoyed this pleasant ride, great show with so much to give when you are fan of the universe. Characters, events, references all was written and directed very well really dont know what was there that i have complained about. The first half was good, i was expecting anime original episodes to be kinda slob, but they turned out good, props to the author for writing the script. Really enjoyed the fanservice too.

Second half showed the actual Rail zeppelin arc with faker and heartless, again lots of nasuverse shenanigans (poor souls those uneducated). But i say the show do need continuation for better understanding, cause this is where the story picks up and „shit hits the fan“ .. and so its kind of sad there was no season two announcement, instead of we got this anime original epilogue. But i still have my hopes high.

9/10 Easy, anime of the season by a mile (i mean the season was full of trash so no wonder really).

So it's finally over.

This was so-and-so and average experience for me. The second half with train arc (Rail Zeppelin) has been interesting.

Wouldn't mind a season 2. 5/10.

Pretty average for a fate series but still worth watching.

Waver grew a lot from his time in fate/zero but his immature side can be seen sometimes.
6.5/10

Waiting for my dosage of fate the next season. Truly there can never be any less fate

I'm sad it's over. I will miss this show, really enjoyed seeing all these characters, both new and old. I will especially miss Reines, I need more of her in my life. Really appreciated it as a fan of the universe, hoping we get a continuation.

probably my favorite episode due to the mid-time closure it gives to the characters, what with Svin gaining rank, Waver learning to dull a bit of that self depreciation and giving into his emotions inside his dream, and Gray giving sir her gift with an adorably satisfying face in response to his "whydunit" call back.

Really just the first time the show actually managed to get me in the feels, irregardless of its previous quality or how much i enjoyed certain parts of it. If anything, I wish it was /more/ slice of lifey and focused on the day to day lives of the characters then the mysterys, its just a lot more satisfying.

That last scene where Waver and Rider stood face to face was captivating, really loved this series a lot more than I thght I would. Waver has grown into a great man and also Gray is just too cute. She is proly waifu of the season.

Shit, what about the cliffhanger fight from the last episode, was that it? You've got to be kidding my ass!

This was such a calm episode, that I forgot I was watching something. I guess his obsession with Iskandar has lessen judging by the way he has taken off his contention for the next holy grail. That dream of him with Iskandar was heartfelt for me, I really wanted another holy grail partnership between the two, but that would mean Gray will have to be excluded, so I understand why not! To me I feel Waver has grown despite everything, he's more intelligent and definitely less annoying.

This season was enjoyable for me, I liked the tiny mysteries portrayed here. The last zeppelin case was shit though, I felt it was over hyped by the show and never lived to its expectations. I will liked to see another season though in future, but for now I will focus on this season's fate!

7/10.

That last scene with Iskandar made me tear up a bit ngl

Overall, I think it was a really enjoyable anime. The only bad thing about this show is the mystery. This anime made like Waver a lot more. And also, Gray is a 10/10 waifu. I really hope we get a second season though I doubt it will happen.

For the Fate Franchise, this one is average... Although I enjoyed it.
Also just a calm last episode and the calm ending song. Sadly, I have to give it a 7/10, would've loved to finish at least with 8 but oh well...

Well, this was interesting.

I really, really like the way they developed Waver, but a lot of the stuff they pulled to solve the first cases seemed a bit too farfetched for me, and the Rail Zeppelin case would have been better with one episode less dedicated to it, in terms of pacing.

While I understand some of the magic gibberish and I can assume it due to suspension of disbelief, I'm not that into Fate lore to know what they are talking about in a bunch of cases, I just go "welp he teaches magic so he probably knows what he's talking about".

I won't say that the lack of fights is a negative though, since action isn't exactly what the show is built on, but those that are there do not hold a candle to Ufotable's animation.

Overall, 6.5/10. Enjoyable if you are a Waver fan and somewhat familiar with Fate, but I just can't recommend it to someone without previous knowledge of the series unlike UBW or Zero.

As far as fate goes, this is disappointing. Most of the characters, the high point of fate, were entirely mediocre, and some were outright annoying, from design to voice acting to behaviour / plot relevance. Namely students and Adashino. Having a character design with hair that fucking rests on the ground seriously irritates me for some reason. As is the pseudo-intellect attitude. As is the creepy screamy kinda of character.

Pretty entertaining Anime for a Fate series. Really liked the characters, personally not been a great fan of Waver in general, but I really like the development he has gotten. Gray is also a great addition to the Fate-waifu list. I think the Lore was a bit hard to grasp at times, mostly to blame on me for not being into it too much, but I really enjoyed it nevertheless.

As an standalone show was kinda crappy, but for someone who has seen most Fate material (even some LN) I really loved this one and all the expansion and unions it did in the fate part of the Nasuverse, the last scene with Rider made me increase the score from 7 to 8 (Broskander is best servant)

Really nice final episode. Waver just is one of the best developed characters in anime with Fate/Zero and Rail Zeppelin. And Grey is cute in her own way, still like the meta joke of a saber face being a literal clone forced to step into Sabers gigantic footsteps and being compared to her all the time. Second season please!

Isn't something missing between the end of the last episode and the beginning of this one? Like an epic fight where the priest dies and the villain escapes or something? There was no lack of information but it was kind of anti-climatic.

The priest died when he closed his eyes and collapsed. The anime did rush it because needed to put Rhon animation scene. Heartless overturns his heart and just takes Faker away, you know, like what he did with the DA child forest. It also skipped the case where Svin got his promotion. I think I said this, Rail Zeppelin is just a set up for other arcs, including Grand Roll finale. It's like adaptating the chapter 2 of a book.

perhaps, detective fiction something i don't enjoy, especially in fate setting. fate without servant x master action is quite boring to say the least

Rider: Are you ready to come here boy?
Waver: I'm still not worthy to stand by your side. Because the pain of the path leading there and the glory at its end must be gained in real life. Not here but in my battlefield of Lord El Melloi II.
Rider: I see, well then I dare ask.... Was the journey so far been fun for you?
Waver: Ah Of course... Rider.

One of the best conversations after his last battle as Rider's master.

We need more Broskander X Waver moments!!

That moment between Rider and Waver reminded me of Fate Zero all over again! So good!

Well, kind of a disappointment. At first, i was thinking to myself "a story that follows Waver as an adult? why not?", and got into it right away! But as the episodes went on, i felt myself being bored to the core, idk why... The story didn't click with me anymore, and so i've lost interested possibly around episode 5/6.

Sweet ending for a really good series. I really hope there'll be season 2, or at least OVA or movie for this. Good job by Troyca, director Makoto Katou and of course Yuki Kajiura.

I really love the whole Gray and Waver, Waver and Iskandar and also Waver with his students moments. Even for small Melvin chatting with Gray too. And yeay! Reines becoming friends with Olga Marie!

I'll miss all the characters and the series... T_T

Well, to be fair, it's not promoting itself as a main "Fate" series, but more as a spinoff series. So, obviously someone who went into this should keep that in mind since the beginning.

A very mellow yet good final episode. I especially liked the insight we got into Waver`s character, his progression and personal goals. Somewhat disappointed with Gray though. The journey did not change her like at all.

Top moment was Iskander and Waver dacing each other. Clearly, they are playing the nostalgia but I did not mind it.

Probably the worst Type Moon/Fate related thing to date (and that's saying something). Holy crap does this franchise love inhaling its own farts at this point, I love how it presents all these non-sensical deductions as brilliant detective work while everything is resolved and explained with the help of some grandiosely presented magical mumbo jumbo. It doesn't help that the other focus of the show is based on the daddy issues of the most obnoxious character from Fate/Zero.

Honestly, I am surprised that there are so few comments about any gay vibes in this ending, especially after the show screenwriter raised the topic of LGBTQ representations on Twitter, and ANN tried to "justify" MC from incel charges, claiming that he "hold himself" for Iskander, lol.

Nice conclusion to the series, a bit emotional at the Waver and Iskander part. The dynamic of this duo is like in FZ. Gray cute as usual and Reines befriend her. Overall its a good installment of the Fate franchise. 5/5 for the episode, 7/10 to the series

Instead of a show that's 1 season and desperately deserves a second, this show will probably get a sequel despite being terribly mediocre. Reines is prime faite bait.

Troyca has chops but they need a better writer. It has nice moments but fails at the big things. Feels almost arrogant to set up for a second season.

Everyone knows about Waver's bisexual hopeless harem because he'll forever chase Iskandar. Not sure how can he be an 'incel' when he's the most popular person in the Clocktower that wants to bed by the type Strange Fake rolls in (he moved from fourth to first spot!). He's just not interested.

Fate franchise has weird kind of fujoshi fans, they are called "silent" ones.

Damn, I almost teared up with that heartfelt reunion between Waver and Iskandar. Especially after thinking I wouldn't hear Rider's voice not even once during this series.

Overall, quite calm/relaxing final episode with a really heartwarming conclusion for this part of the story.

As a whole, this anime was a quite pleasant experience, even more when you are fan of the universe and characters. I loved the fanservice in general as well, especially the cameos and references to another Fate works.

Absolutely wouldn't mind a second season. More Reines would be much appreciated, honestly.

7/10 - Now, let's jump universes and see what one of Fate/Grand Order's "best story arcs" can offer.

Bro, I legitimately wasn't expecting to watch this episode and fucking cry with the dream scene. That was fantastic.

Overall, I'd give the anime an *8/10*. Evidently not perfect by any means considering how messy it was from time to time, but I was rather satisfied with what we got ultimately.

Fate's selling point will never necessarily be the storytelling, but, man, do I love these characters. New faces like Reines and Gray were a treat to watch. Even minor roles like Svin, Flat, and Melvin were charming. The cameo appearances of Olga, Shishigou, Caules, and Luvia were a fun welcome/throwback that you did not see coming.

Given the mixed reception, it wouldn't be the hugest loss if we didn't get a second season, but I'd be definitely down for more if it ever were to happen.

You need to ask ANN for this, personally, I didn't notice any actual romance in this show at all. I think that if Waver were a girl, on the contrary, they would defend his right to virginity or celibacy.
