I'm sorry if I misplaced this post, but wasn't sure where to ask this.

I gave Fire Force a try after reading some good reviews and comments, but after 2 episodes I'm wondering if it will get any better. It's fine in my opinion but not as great and different as I expected it to be. It feels like watching a mash of My Hero Academia, Blue Exorcist and Bleach. I wonder if I should continue watching in hope of a change or just drop it. The Animation's good but story and characterwise it feels familiar and unoriginal (imho).

So I hope to hear other MAL users opinions, I'm reluctant to drop it.
Thanks in advance ^^

I honestly only started watching Fire Force because Shinra is played by Kajiwara, Gakuto, and I reaally didn't like the first 4 or 5 episodes honestly.

It does get better. The beginning is super slow, and I really didn't think I'd like it but it does get better.
Just keep on watching, you can do this!

Thanks for the insight

Just completed 3rd episode and only change in my opinion is:
1. now it started giving some Psycho-Pass vibes
2. the fanservice feels forced and unneeded

I'll still try and watch some more. After all animation in action scenes is quite good :)

Hopefully it turns out better for you like it did for me!

The way fanservice is done sucks and will continue to suck, you'll definitely hate that aspect. The only draw is the fights, and maybe the characters if you like them (I find it pretty difficult). It does get better somewhat, but mostly it's just painfully boring.

Never liked fanservice but in this case it's abnormally annoying.

Oh and I just don't seem to care about characters.

4 eps through and no changes.Guess I'll be dropping it.

Wonder what was all the hype about.

I get what you mean. I was actually hyped up at the first episode but after that I felt that the plot became weird and I agree some of fanservices forcefully put in there. It is have a shounen vibe but that's it. Oh and sometimes I can't relate to some jokes in it too. Till now I'm still watching it but I dunno where the story will lead to

Only good part is the art and music. Everything else is generic.
