I have finished this anime .the ending is really a cliff hanger .so i wanted to know if this anime will have season 2 .its not i like this isekai anime very much but i don't like anime that hang on cliffhanger.

As with all anime, we will never know if one will get a sequel or not until it's announced; and even then there's a chance it could be cancelled afterwords.

Cliffanger was only to boost more source material sales. Second season never accept this fact.

As trash as the quality of this show was, I had a good time watching it so I'd like a second season. I'm very curious about some of the scenes in the ED, like with the meteors falling on Tokyo. I was hoping the show would explain that a bit. It seems to be related to the MC getting summoned to the fantasy world. Sadly, no explanation was provided. If anyone has read the novels or something and knows, I wouldn't mind a spoiler for that.

Also, that was definitely a Gundam reference at the end with the White Tri-Stars and the White Comet. Just what you'd expect from such an otaku-looking hero, I guess. The Tri-Stars looked just like the Gundam ones. The box he was wearing on his back looks like the boxes Cloths are stored in in Saint Seiya, too.

Frankly, I want I want a second season. For some obnoxious reason, I really enjoyed this show. You know, as “junk food”. I feel like the pacing and directing were amazing. Yes, the show is “poor quality”, but ‘no shit’? You can tell they have a tiny budget, but plenty of other shows with much larger budgets just don’t match the Directing/Direction to the source material. Honesty: even if the funds are poor, I tuned into this every week with greater “gusto” than a any other show. ... Why?because it was fricking consistent and entertaining per what was on offer, ya know?

Sure, it was no Fate; Zero, but most shows never equate their budget with quality, nor do they match quality with their budget. It’s always such a “casino” for enjoyment unto us fans. Maou, Retry! was so very consistent, conservative, and smart about its use of its resources that I’m happier with this show than the other 6-10 I’ve been slowly watching from the last 3 seasons. It just “hit that sweet spot” for me. It’s what I LOVE about Isekai and the genre.

... Yes, I’m saying that it’s “entertaining garbage”, but you’d all be fucking with me if you said you didn’t have a soft spot for just that. :3 Come on, we all somehow adored Eromanga Sensei despite how much if a garbage fire that was... You get it, right? Shows come in ‘tiers’, and Maou, Retry! is a bottom-tier show that managed to ooze out something, heck, entertaining! There was no false facade, there was no waste of funds on fancy aesthetic, there wasn’t a huge mess in pacing the volumes, and the continuity was very reasonable. Heck, even he combat scenes were smoother than many high-budget mangas where I’ve got no fucking clue what’s going on despite the artsmanship.... They made the best of what they had to work with—a 10/10 if you consider the “upper limit” to be their budget instead of comparing to Industrial Powerhouses.

...In other words: I really fucking want a season 2. For the obvious budget they had to work with, and the source material considered, I’m absolutely looking forward to a Season 2. ... As if you could REASONABLY argue otherwise without simply disliking the genre; I love this genre, so I’m grateful for an amazing performance per a “limited resources production that blew my expectations away, aka a 4-5/10 somehow scraping into the 6-7/10 territory for the love of Isekai - a genre despised by the masses at this point”. I think they have balls, and I’ll observe said balls so long as they continue their pilgrimage. Heuheuheu :3

I feel like "sucked ass but was really enjoyable" kind of describes this show perfectly lol. I really do hope there's a season 2; while this show was indeed "bad" it was still fun to watch every week.....surprised "comedy" isn't listed as a genre for this show tbh XD

This may have not been the best with animation and the like but I really enjoyed this anime. It didnt take itself seriously and parodied the isekai genre. The humor was also great at times.

I hope the "to be continued" indicated a second season.

Anime sequels can take many, many years. Most people wrote off Mahouka as never getting a second season too, and it ended up just being a matter of the manga adaptation reaching the right point (despite the fact that both the anime and the manga are adaptations of the LN series).

Most anime adapted from another medium is made as a form of advertising for that other medium. Unless it was planned to have a sequel from the beginning, it will usually only get one if either a) they've reached a good point in the original, and feel like a second anime will really help sales, or b) the first anime has just sold ridiculously well, to the point where the potential profits from a second series alone would justify the investment and opportunity cost involved in making it.

In the end, it's just all about the money, like everything in business; if they feel like a sequel would be the optimal use for a portion of their budget, meaning it would have the highest probability of resulting in the most overall Return on Investment compared to their alternative investment possibilities, then the likelihood of them making one is high, regardless of whether it is total junk or not. If they can't see it making good money, or if something else could make more, they probably won't make one, even if it's critically acclaimed and a fan favorite.

I will love if this anime got season 2. I want to see how Maou continue his investment in Rabi village. He already help the economy of the villager, then invested in infrastructure, and try to convince potential investor, then i want to know what next. This is the point of interest for me from this anime.

I think it's too risky to moved it to another studio, and they have potential to ruining it. Meanwhile, Ekachi Epilka is a small studio with few portofolio on their hand, so if this anime has potential for 2nd season, they may not let it go.

Sadly this was a horrible adaption. I don't think it'll get a second season. If you're interested in the story you should read either the novel or the manga.
