The official website of Date A Live announced a new anime for the series on Wednesday. The November 2019 issue of Dragon Magazine (pictured) will publish a special feature on the series on Friday.

Synopsis
Thirty years ago, the Eurasian continent was devastated by a supermassive "spatial quake"—a phenomenon involving space vibrations of unknown origin—resulting in the deaths of over 150 million people. Since then, these quakes have been plaguing the world intermittently, albeit on a lighter scale.

Shidou Itsuka is a seemingly average high school student who lives with his younger sister, Kotori. When an imminent spatial quake threatens the safety of Tengu City, he rushes to save her, only to be caught in the resulting eruption. He discovers a mysterious girl at its source, who is revealed to be a "Spirit," an otherworldly entity whose appearance triggers a spatial quake. Soon after, he becomes embroiled in a skirmish between the girl and the Anti-Spirit Team, a ruthless strike force with the goal of annihilating Spirits.

However, there is a third party that believes in saving the spirits: "Ratatoskr," which surprisingly is commanded by Shidou's little sister! Kotori forcibly recruits Shidou after the clash, presenting to him an alternative method of dealing with the danger posed by the Spirits—make them fall in love with him. Now, the fate of the world rests on his dating prowess, as he seeks out Spirits in order to charm them. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Koushi Tachibana, featuring illustrations by Tsunako, launched the sci-fi romance light novel in March 2011. Fujimi Shobo published the 20th volume on March 20, and plans to publish the 21st volume on October 19. Date A Live has a cumulative 6 million copies of its volumes in print.

AIC Plus+ produced the first anime season in Spring 2013. The second season by Production IMS aired in 10 episodes the following Spring. The Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment anime film opened in Japan in August 2015. Date A Live III, the third and latest season produced by J.C.Staff, premiered in Winter 2019.

Funimation licensed the anime series in North America and shipped the first two seasons on Blu-ray and DVD in June 2014 and March 2016, respectively.

The Fantasia Bunko Dai Kanshasai 2019 event will host a special stage for the anime series on October 20. Voice actresses Marina Inoue, Misuzu Togashi, and Ayumi Mano will attend the stage.

Mildly looking forward to this!

Sadly, I haven't found this series to be very entertaining but Season 3 in my opinion was the best so here's to hoping they'll be able to keep the momentum and deliver!

I'll be watching Fantasia Bunko event live in hopes for more info on this.

Well,if that's true than this season is gonna be blast believe me vol 13 is where the real game starts though I wonder if they will re adapt vol 12 because the things they have cut in previous seasons will gonna be play a really huge role in the upcoming arcs. Well, can't wait for best girl Mukuro to made her debut. Though I wonder how many vol are they going to adapt cuz I don't want them to butcher this season as well.

Unfortunately IMS went bankrupt, so fans will have to suck it up with JC Staff.

Another studio can adapt the anime instead. JC Staff did a bad job with the third season.

Random Fun Fact: the original season 1 was animated by AiC+. IMS only did (the arguabl better) season 2.

Also, I didnt find JC's adaptation that bad except for some parts.

So... Will this be season 4 or just an adaptation for those side-stories like Date A Bullet or something like that? Sorry if someone thinks I'm stupid 😂😂

Awesome news!
I was worried we would have to wait long for another "Date A Live" anime, like the almost 4 years we had to wait between the "Mayuri Judgment" movie and the third season. It's great that there's already a new project announced.

We don't know yet. "New anime project" can mean either a new season, Specials, OVA, a movie, etc.
The article says that the November issue of Dragon Magazine will publish a special feature on the series on Friday, so we'll have to wait for that to get more details.

I will look forward to it, as long as JC Staff ain't going to make this new Date a Live Anime Project. S3 story was really good, just quality was lacking!

I'll always welcome more Kurumi, Tohka and Yoshino! :D
These girls are BEYOND precious!

Here's hoping it's another new season, as the story really started to get properly interesting in season 3 (even if the animation and art quality fell through the floor).

Please, please, PLEASE, remake that abominous episode 12 in this new project... It would be a shame if one of the most badasses volumes just went by as a filler-like fanservice episode, not to mention the amount of relevant content that was trashed...

I've seen the announcement yesterday and i hope it is a 4th season, because the story will be entering more important territory during Nia's arc and possibly Mukuro's. I still wanted to see a re-adaptation of the Itsuka Disaster volume because many important details were left out in the dust. The announcement of the studio will reveal my happiness or my sadness. Because what comes next MUST NOT BE BUTCHERED, AT ALL.

Hope you are wrong, I wanna see Nia and Mushi-sama adapted.
Besides, we really need to reach those Kurumi later arcs cuz that is the real deal, that said Origami's was also the real deal, yet JCStaff fucked like that, lets hope it is not them, or if it is, that it gets a proper production schedule for this one.

Still have Vietnam flashbacks from the last episode butchering an entire volume.

Also, bad animation in most episodes. Miku did not even resembled herself in episode 1, ugh...

Just bankrupt already, JC Staff. Index III, OPM II, DaL III, you unlearned how to make animation and adaptation...

Minus JC staffs Horrible adaption and the epiosde 12 I preferred the 2nd half and how it goes full circle with the series in universe version of time travel and how orgami knew shido at the start but he didn't know who she was and who killed her parents etc as well as getting more on phantom and of course kurumi

No staff announced, huh? Well, from what I've heard and seen, season 3 was quite a mess. IIRC a fair number of episodes were outsourced to Kadokawa's own animation studio ENGI, so maybe they will take over from here.

And that's what I call shit taste. Season 3 was the worst, animation wise and story wise. It's a totally butchered adaptation.
They call certain methods of fighting good and others evil,
acting as if there were some nobility to the battlefield.
Such illusions, perpetrated by heroes throughout history,
have led countless young men to their bloody deaths,
all for the sake of this valor and glory.

I see. I’m aware of both those points and yet I enjoyed the season most, you’re free to make of it however you will.

Still contemplating on whether to watch the third season knowing that J.C.Staff handled it poorly, but I'll be damned if I skip the Kurumi spin-off. The animation could be PowerPoint-level and I'd still watch it.
