All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.

I don't really find Shakugan no Shana complex but will say it anyway because if season III haters have taught me anything its a show people find incredible hard to understand if you don't pay super hard attention, rewatch and take notes when watching it

I don't know if it's complex, but I will say Mushishi is my favorite anime of all time.

For the one that I'm really sure it's complex, I love :
- Steins Gate
- Monster
- Suzumiya Haruhi (I guess it can be said as complex, knowing the series only exist and just a build-up for the movie)
- Vinland Saga

I love the Boogiepop series. I'd say that's the most complicated anime out there.

I'd start off saying that complex anime aren't usually my thing, I tend to lean towards strong emotional beats and conventional storytelling, but there's a few I still really love

Kino's Journey (debatebly)
Flip Flappers
Tatami Galaxy
Revue Starlight

And while I don't love these, I rather liked Monogatari, Boogiepop, and SSSS.Gridman

Also assuming by complex you mean shows that are complicated to follow more than shows that "have depth"
You have shit taste, and then I have taste so shit it makes your taste look good

Ghost In The Shell(SAC)
Kara no Kyoukai

The only Anime that when I rewatch them I almost always discover new details of the stories I didn't catch on prior viewings. They're the gift that keeps on giving which is why I always revisit them every year.

As far as 'Complex' anime go the two I like are Stand Alone Complex & Lovely Complex.

Not really interested in Buddy Complex, Cosplay Complex or Complex x Complex, although the last is probably not even available and definitely not subbed.
I probably regret this post by now.
