| When the money got burnt? Honestly that is what made him promise not to but if the money was toasted wouldnt that make him able to push forward onto death? |
| It wasn´t the money that made him promise that. He thought that collecting the money would be enough for him to "pay" her mother everything he made her went through, but as soon as she freaks out and he realizes how much she would choose for his son to be alive over money, he gives up on that. |
