the team gets back to the lighthouse ship. there's a welcoming parade of sorts. the cult clearly resents the hunter team(s)

a dust person was in one of the mechanized combat suits for some reason. and some douche bag hunter team person rats them out and gets the dust guy beaten by the cult's disciplinary branch. the hunter squad leader, marc, steps in to stop it. he doesn't seem to be a big believer in the cult, saying, "next time hopefully your elder will pray for more of my men to return safely" or something. but marc also doesn't seem to care about the dust people very much outside of their ability to help his team, saying something like dust people are lower class citizens because "it's the way of the doomsday". idk

marc and his right hand man (some woman) are requested at the city lord's chambers. on the way there he mentions he wants to head back out in a week and that the mecha suits need to be upgraded; they're too slow. the city lord has a bunch of other influential/powerful city people present. hunter team reports they found supplies to power the lighthouse for at least 3 months, but that many people were killed in the process. the cult's bishop, who's also in attendance, seems to find joy in hearing of the hunter's losses. at which point marc states that they had made a discovery

...at that point it cuts back to the end of the mission they were just on. there wasn't just one of those monsters, there were dozens. and they went on a rampage through the hunter team as they were loading supplies. this is where the one dust guy climbed into a mecha combat suit. we see him kill a monster, but the suit also doesn't recognize him as a valid user and has him on some "limited" mode. we see marc get in a suit of his own, as well as a red headed girl we've seen briefly a few times. marc's right hand man (woman) doesn't have a suit, but fights side by side with marc. the monsters have tentacles that light up which they're able to communicate amongst themselves with. the one monster also seemed to be sucking the life or something out of a hunter squad person via its tentacles

and that's the end. the battle isn't over yet, so i guess they'll show more of it next episode?

so far it's kind of like an alien meets gears of war meets doom premise. and probably several others as well. that's not even counting this stupid religious cult

think i liked the first episode more. also hope they don't keep doing flash backs in each episode.
