If you could have any job in the world what would it be? Regardless of the education needed or how impossible it seems. It could even be a job that isn't even real but you wish it was.

What job would you have in your perfect life to help/not help society?

Personally I would love to either be a psychiatrist or a psychologist for some kind of agency like the FBI or CIA. (so that is what I'm trying to work toward right now)

I'd quite like being one those researchers that go to really isolated places, like the Amazon forest or some islands, specially when we were still at the age of discovering the 'new world'. Something close nowadays would be space travel, but that's not happening for me.

I'd love to be a mangaka if the working conditions (and pay!) were halfway decent. Sadly, they're not. I don't want to work myself to the death. Talk about an impossible dream lol.

@photophobic That doesn't sound pathetic at all. If that is really what you want to do go for it! Just always have a backup plan just in case.

@Aastra343 I don't know hardly anything about this but maybe there is some kind of biologist job that you could be a researcher at isolated places, that would be pretty cool. And about the second one you could always try your hand at becoming a astronaut!

@NthDegree Maybe someday the conditions will improve. Its horrible what some of those people have to go through :(. Maybe someday it will get better and you can try your hand at it!

Realistically, a horse trainer/riding instructor. I love horses and its immensely satisfying to teach people how to ride.
Unrealistically, an assassin/hitman. Because I also hate people.

So basically a NEET?
Isn't that what you already do?

Yeah, except I'd get paid for it and wouldn't need to pretend to look for work.

I haven't been a NEET for years. Shame.

@heg Try to go for something related to that kind of job. Can't be any harm in trying.

@Katagari Sounds like a cool job. I want to learn how to ride a horse but haven't gotten around to it since im a city college boi. And for the second one you could always try to be something like a military sniper or something like that. :P

@Scud Always a great choice. It would be amazing if I could just use all of my time at home or traveling, but also I feel like I'd get bored of it eventually.

I'm sorry you have to deal with all of that. I hope it gets better one day and you find something that truly makes you happy and at ease.

@Doctor_Ghost I guess I could be one of those people sent to Mars with no round-trip ticket lol. Professional astronaut is certainly out of the picture.

I've considered becoming a biologist of sorts, but biology never was my forte. Maybe one day I can become an anthropologist or linguist, which would also give me an opportunity to go to isolated places for research, we'll see.

That'd be like the best thing ever, but I feel like the competition is way too much for someone of my level.

It would definitely be competitive but I would go for it! If that doesn't work out you could always try to make your own board game, video game, or write your own stories.

Either that or one of those scientists that works alone at the North Pole all year.

Currently working on making the shift to doing YouTube and Voice Acting for a living which already is kind of a dream job (as opposed to Computer Science and Engineering which is what I'm currently set to do) although my true dream job would also include be being able to to be a Film/Television actor, getting to author a book series I have in mind, getting to lead a few indie games I have in mind, and lead development on a few apps I have in mind. Unfortunately I lack the funds for any of that lol (especially since I'd want to avoid the actual monotonous labor part paying others to do it instead), hopefully I can acquire those funds one day though to chase all my dreams. Unlikely lol, but certainly not impossible.

Lets seeeeee, I am pretty good at Biology. In fact, I was one of the top students when it came to Biology. The whole subject just interests me.

I also don't dislike kids. On the contrary, I admire them.

So a Pediatrician doesn't sound too bad to me.

Since I always loved languages,a translator. But I'm studying for a medical profession now,so a therapist for the elderly. Also,my dream was to open my own bakery/cafe and bake fruit tarts and make coffee. Maybe I can put those two together and when I graduate college, open up a bakery but you can order a massage or a check up and eat delicious pastries along the way.

Game development. Not necessarily my own game, but to implement well executed ideas into any game. I have many ideas for games as whole, but not for any specific game in particular.

That's a hard industry to get into though, so I'm going down the coding line first.

It may sound very generic and boring, but sometimes I wish i was just an office worker. The ones that are portrayed in anime.

I don't hate my job, but sometimes work can become very stupid. 2 days ago I got a call about some couple screaming. I go, and what was the issue? The guy was banging on the door screaming histerically. I go ask him what the problem is, he says his ex won't open the door and he can't get his stuff out.

Honestly, there are more important 911 calls to take than one where a stupid couple can't be proper adults and get into an understanding.
