I definitely hate this anime...

It makes sense you don't like the anime as you need over 200 IQ to understand what Senku is talking about, and how the anime is progressing with science lol. (I could see why the anime's pacing might be slow though, but it has 16 more episodes to go, and we will see if the anime is overhyped, decent, or maybe the best).

Think of anime as this:
It's like playing Minecraft on Survival Mode for the first time without using any guides or handicaps, but only with your knowledge and common sense.

Okay, finally that girl appeared, I was waiting her since the first ime I saw the opening. Also, which way to buy people than with food. I also liked that it tastes bad, since it would be too perfect. Love the synergy between characters and that we have a proper line of progression. But I'm curious on why that girl wears a watermelon, how are these natives there and who are these exilated dudes?

Nya Suika is so adorable xd Is she some kinda hybrid tho or does she really just wear that melon as hat and can hide in it?

Ruri knows... very much huh.. Wonder what kinda story is behind her

Ramen is just too powerful. Everyone loves ramen

Cooking Ramen to attract manpower : a good meal for a good effort, that sounds like a real fair deal. I think that if I were to wake up in 3700 years from now, I'd miss my beloved food (a good portion of meat...).

Watermelon girl is a nice addition to the show. That recon mission lol.

People seem to have a thing for Kohaku, but idk, her character design still looks a tiny bit "derpy" to me. It's the eyes.

"People waged wars over pepper"

So true... How easily we forget how good we have it with the creature comforts of modern society. To Senku the ramen wasn't very good but to those people that have only eaten fish their whole lives, it was the best thing ever.

Suika makes her appearance and she's already one cute addition to Senku's growing scientific group. Her watermelon on her head is adorable and it also made for a funny AND useful way of sneaking into the village for a recon mission.

Not to forget, the funniest part of the episode was when Senku, Chrome, Kohaku and Suika tried unsuccessfully to make iron. Each of their facial expressions was just pure comedy gold. XD

Not to forget, Kohaku in her loincloth-style bikini was mega sexy, too! =3

Senku's skills for making the foxtail millet ramen was impressive. He won't be troubling a certain Yukihira Soma anytime soon, but Senku does have a very good knowledge on gastronomy. Although he's not pleased with the taste at all, the others were loving it, which leads to them making a ramen cart to tempt the villagers, tired from eating nothing but fish all day, to eat something else.

I'm sure this plan of his will work. If not, then he pulled off his smug evil look for nothing! =P

Great episode once again.

After not very good start for this series seems that Dr. Stone keeps getting better with every episode. New characters around Senku make this show more enjoyable to watch. Truly Tsukasa and Taiju were so unbalanced to "science" that they gave annoying vibes.

Well, then it looks like even in a rebooted stone age setting, they still added that quintessential swim suit service.

They now added a loli to the mix.

So, using Foxtail Millet as a substitute from making ramen, awesome. But hey, they could have made some bead with it let spoil and they'll have a penicillin mold.

Kohaku in a swimsuit, definitely want to see more of that.

This episode was beyond amusing, there's no shortage of awesome facial expressions. Suika joins the party into making medicine to cure whatever Ruri has for illness.

Ramen, nom. I can use some myself. I love how Kohaku, Chrome and Suika were so happy with how that ramen tasted... and then Senku who was disappointed that it was actually shit XD

it's a bit bugging me, meanwhile senku is basically weak, he definitely spent a lot of time in lab and barely exercise, yet his body looks really well build, or the stone stuff somehow give people muscle? or it's just a fan service after all. either way dr.stone still interesting

This adaptation is sooo excellent! It has everything of the manga's awesomeness converted into gorgous animated adaptation with decent music and beautiful art. :)

@Stark700 Kohaku in her swimsuit indeed looked great, haha. (by the way, it's Kohaku, not Koharu, lol)

Suika appeared! I loved how the creators animated her moving while being disguised as a watermelon, haha. Same goes with her investgation as "Ace Detective Suika". Too bad on Crunchyroll the subtitles doesn't emphasize the way Suika actually speaks. Like, she doesn't say "I will go", but "Suika will go". Speaking in the third person mode is one of her individual traits.

Chalk appeared as well! ;-) And was helpful too.

Iron acquired, ramen has been invented for the second time. ;p Maybe it's worse than the version served in Senku's times, but people from this Stone World surely love its taste despite its imperfections (they wouldn't be able to notice them anyway, 'cause it was the first time they had something like ramen in their mouths).

@Benphyre , I noticed your first collage of Kohaku's miniportraits in the thread about the previous episode. Excellent work, keep on going, mate! It is something that many people didn't think they need (including me), but after seeing it they felt it is something that they would like to see. ;D
Also, Kohaku is the best waifu of course, so people shouldn't be surprised because of how awesome that kind of galleries are.

Kohaku in a swimsuit is damn fine. xD

I love Senkuu and Chrome's dynamic and I love it when they both act all smug and cocky. It always makes me laugh a bit. xD

Senku should be doing the penicillin route in parallel, particularly now that he has a type of flour to work with.

Also, he should be making charcoal for his furnace instead of just using wood.

Finally, there ought to be a godzillion ruins still around, even after 3700 years, and there will be iron and steel in those ruins. Senku ought to do a bit of scrounging to bootstrap himself.

Nickpicking aside, I'm having lots of fun with this show.

Suika is the cutest fuckin thing OH MY GOD.
Every episode of this has absolutely GRIPPED me. I want to know where these villagers came from! I want to know everything thats changed in the 3k years since the world turned to stone.

Has Ruika found something that remains of the old world? Books? Something plastic maybe? How does she seem to know of something from the old world?

I WANT ANSWERS DAMN IT

Well, I would still have gone with the mold path. That aside if he wanted to go the sulfur compounds way finding garlic would have been the simplest way. Garlic hates with boosting the immune system and as a result helps the organism fight infections. More than that garlic was used as a make do antibiotic more often together with silver.

Senku was planning how to make an antibiotic and explained Chrome and Kohaku that it can be made from stones (sulfonamides) and living beings (penicillin). Senku was explaining them the planet rotation system when he noticed changes in constellations, discovering that earth’s rotation moved, so Chrome brought a primitive compass made of a stone, Senku realized it’s a magnet. Senku, Chrome and Kohaku went to the river to collect black sand (with the magnet), a little girl (with a watermelon in her head) named Suika appeared and started to help them, they talked about Ruri’s stories. Later, they needed to melt the black sand with carbon to create iron, they tried to create a lot of heat using air blowers, but they failed. Senku determined that they need more people and sent Suika to look for necessities, she concluded that they need new food. Senku decided to make ramen with mullet grains, in the end, despite Senku disliked it, he created a completely new food for the village and started to attract people.

The little girl, Suika, is very cute. The idea to create iron is not bad, but getting the degrees to 1,500, a complication due to the lack of technology. Not crazy the idea that rotation system moved. Enjoyable episode, the ramen in the end looked really well.

No civilization without RAMEN...obviously :)

Great to see iron ore digging (and science behind it) being the excuse for a bit of fan-service.

Also nice to see that Senku makes mistakes sometimes (the north star story), at least he is not presented as the know-everything-think-about-everything-from-the-start protagonist. Furthermore the relatively bad taste of the ramen makes the narrative more "realistic". Nice touch.
