Sequels should count cause sometimes the sequel far surpasses the prequel. 2010: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya 2011: Stein's;Gate 2012: Psycho Pass 2013: Monogatari Series: Second Season 2014: Space Dandy 2015: Owarimonogatari 2016: Re:Zero 2017: Shingeki no Kyojin S2 2018: Zoku Owarimonogatari 2019: Shingeki no Kyojin S3 Part 2 Years ranked: 2011 > 2010 > 2017 >= 2016 >= 2019 > 2013 > 2012 > 2014 > 2018 > 2015 Some years where really strong some where pretty bad. 2011 was the best year having 4 of my top 25 anime. 2010 had the most great level anime so could somewhat be tied with 2011. 2019 is still new but already has 2 of my top ten anime so it might move up to third place or even 2nd place when the year is done. 2012 was meh while 2014, 2018, and 2015 where terrible years. |
