Hello! (New to anime and MAL)

Just a quick introduction...

I'm Aylian, a 19-year-old film enthusiast from The Netherlands who is now slowly getting into anime. I'm new to MAL as well as to anime (as you can probably tell from my entries) and only recently opened up to it. I was admittedly rather judgmental about anime first but I'm having a lot more fun binging shows than I expected to.

I must admit that I feel slightly overwhelmed by the amount of forum posts and knowledge of the average user here, though I'm sure I'll find my way through.

I enjoy writing reviews for films and I'm planning on writing reviews for (some) anime too. Writing reviews helped me learn a lot about cinema and I hope it'll do the same for anime. It'd be great to meet others who share an interest in anime along the way too, especially considering almost none of my RL friends do haha.
