You're a Scandinavicized Nordic.

I mean, Paris is pretty disappointing if one hypes it up too much in their mind indeed, specially in more recent years. I find it interesting this mostly affects japanese tourists though.
Maybe this has to do with how little they actually hear about France and Paris in especial. Or more like: want to hear about the actual situation.

Which place you'd prefer for a fight? At my place or your place? I live in fennoscandia, not in scandinavian peninsula.

Never considered it but calling myself as Nordic feels really strange and wrong, while technically it is truth.

Disagree with 5 pretty heavily, once the allure of the accent wears off [which it will after a year] there's nothing else. People who think the Australian accent is sexy probably have only heard it for 15 minutes max or on TV. Most English accents are much more dignified as well.

So their methods of obtaining these results are based on "Our readers have spoken out on the world's sexiest nationalities?" All this means is that they have a lot of Ukrainian, Danish, Filipino, and Brazilian readers. Failing to disclose the frequency of nationalities among those polled skews the credibility of the results.

It seems like a list of places that pampered retired fat men/women go so they can exploit the dirt-poor locals for cheap. Explains why Korea isn't on the list.

I have to concur in that I find the lack of Romania quite puzzling. I met three generations of a colleague's in-laws at a Dinner party just before New Years, and both men and women were absurdly photogenic. Maybe their country/ethnicity just doesn't have the celebrity-backup or strong rep in non-European countries that some others do (e.g. like Ukraine).

If given the option to go on a blind date with a random 20s/30s-something person of either Romanian or American origin, I can't imagine too many sensible folk would choose the latter.

There are preferences for what the typical "native" (in the sense of the established major nationality) looks like:

Aside from that, it's probably just like SamHandwich wrote:

But then again, it doesn't explain why Danes, Australians and English are ranked higher than Eastern Central and Eastern Europeans safe for Ukrainians.

Aastra343 mentioned Paris Syndrome and I think that's an apt diagnosis for most national preferences. If most people went to the UK, they would find attractive charming people and fat, drunk, tattooed, shaved, unshowered slobs/sloberinas in equal measure. I'm from the south in the US and my preferred nationality is anyone that doesn't speak English too well because I can't live with someone who talks to me 24/7. I learned that from living with a friend. I would choose a gf from Kenya, Korea, Slovenia, ANYWHERE as long as they know how to give me some space.

Actually, it was I who has brought up the Paris Syndrome, first. And I was referring more to people not looking French. If I go to Nigeria or Japan, I don't expect to see that many people looking like Europeans. And if someone expects the streets to of Paris and London to be filled with >90% of Europeans, they will be very disappointed to see that many people from former colonies and other regions, even if you exclude the tourists.

Eh, maybe because there's no need to call yourself one. People outside of Europe may not even always know of Nordic countries beside Sweden, and at least most Europeans know every Nordic country so you can just say your nationality and they know where you're from. I actually have never heard anyone call themselves Nordic or identifying with that label, it is more brought up in politics. Beside it sounds retarded translated to Finnish, pohjoismaalainen that nobody uses since usually bend adjective form is pohjoismainen but it doesn't work when talking about a person.

Hungary, Ukraine and Bulgaria being in top 50 while Romania and Catalunya aren't is a mistake. It's impossible, I demand a refill! The girls here at my workplace are so hot I don't need porn, and the guys are all ladies men.
No chance for an imaginary country to make it into the list.

Browsing your profile bio, I guess you raised a brow when I mentioned it. Still, back to real countries, Romanians are hoter than Bulgarians, Hungarians or Ukrainians.

If someone goes to Paris, that stereotype of beret-wearing, baguette-carrying, dark-haired slim people will be what they'll see the less of. The same is not true for the rest of France in my experience, but most tourists only go to Paris or some other major cities, like Nice and Marseilles, all of which house most former colonies' citizens. If one goes to Wien and then to Salzburg, for example, the difference will also be quite big.

The same goes for most colonizing nations in Europe. As I said before, I guess this is what explains some of these list's results, as in people see countries as their concrete population, not their abstract one. At the same time, they seem to be taking abstract views for other nationalities, such as brazilians, that are famous for their 'mulatas' or Giselle Buendchen, but most of the population is nowhere close to that, or filipinos, famous for their misses, but I'd wager most of their population isn't like them. So, I don't know, I still can't wrap my head around this list.

Fair enough, then... From the sound, which nationality sounds the hottest in Finnish?

Me neither. Aside from what you've mentioned, "age" and how good people still look even when older isn't really factored, either. btw.: I've completely forgotten about Gisele Bündchen, lol wasn't any fond of her and she also didn't appear particularly striking to me even when younger, anyway

Never really thought about that. Maybe like venäläinen=russian or latvialainen=latvian. Easier say least hot sounding ones, it'b be basically any country with foreign pronunciation like Qatar, Tšad, Azerbaijan. Worst one thought would be Ivory Coast citizen, which is in english ivorian simply and short (I like that) but in finnish norsunluurannikkolainen.
