Not to me, that just sounds like salty people that dropped the anime and only dropped in to rate it a 1 even though they didn't watch.

Besides the 5 out of 5s seem to chill in the 30-40% range throughout, even went over 50% on episode 8

Very boring. The main character is an egoistical bastard who's very petty about getting revenge. He'd be a minor enemy character in most other anime. Gonna give it a shot with episode 2 but if it's the same I'll be dropping this

Uh sure. You do know that we use aggregates like this for more precision, right?You see that Episode 2 and 3 have better ratings than Episode 1, right? They have 50% and 46% of the votes respectively being 5/5. Compare them to E11 and E12 which have 34% and 32% respectively. Also, the number of voters for E12 is almost twice that of E11 and yet it clearly showed a steady decline instead of dramatic percentile spikes on lower scores. Your so-called haters' votes are just a handful and E12 retained only 2/3 of the 5-voters from E2.

Or, if you want something more balanced, like having around the same number of votes, compare E4,6,8,9,12. Just when you think E12, which is supposed to be the most eventful since it's the final episode, had the most voters move away from voting 5 to voting 4 and 3. Not to mention that of all these five episodes, E12 has the highest number of votes. How many of haters' votes can you see again?

Just admit it, man. Your best anime of all time had a downtrend reception. At least for you the fanservice beach episode worked the best.

I don't know how you can claim that you earn more money than some of the users here without knowing what statistics are like, unless it's through illegal means maybe?

Loved the LN but not so sure about this adaptation. they're rushing this far too much, only good thing is that we'll see BEST GIRL: Yue sooner. Here's hoping that this season is just the first cour, and that they'll announce a 2nd cour.

For me the episode is understandable, im just irritated because you all gave ur bad judgement while its still episode 1. For those, who did not understand episode 1, you are just a dumbass. I did not even read the manga and i understand it completely in the whole episode. So damn you all, even the writer of this because i was expecting this anime to be at the top of this season. Just freaking chill and dont judge completely. If u like the manga then stay with it. Dont ruin what i will watch with harsh words!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like this could have been alright if it wasn't presented in such a needlessly convoluted way. This really didn't need to feel this confusing with a better presented premise and backstory. I mean you could still understand it but geez, it sure wasn't very user-friendly

Hopefully it's just a one-time thing though and it'll be better moving forwards but we'll see

In my opinion they must stop it and postpone one more year to do a better job. Personally, I am missing the feelings — angry, desolation, desillusion and treason. This anime needs more episodes to expose all the beginning (the best part, I bet everyone agrees), they need to give us time to absorb the content, the feelings and situation. All these points a rushed anime fails.

Read a few chapters of the light novel a while ago and thought they were pretty entertaining and honestly even good, this first episode however strips everything from what I thought was remotely good and pretty much left us with a lifeless hunk of the source material which pretty much makes it one of hundreds of edgy isekai

I was thinking in watch some episodes and drop it after the first novel part ends. But this is just garbage fire.

As someone who has read the Manga & LN, it was disappointing AF
The flashback order made no sense, why not just show it chronologically?
& Also The CG was terrible, This adaption could have been good but this ain't it.

I watched the first episode then decieded to read the manga. The only thing I knew about this series was from the description. The isekai shark has jumped the pool already oof. But anyway this is an almost exact clone of how not to summon a demon lord and also the protagonist has a alchemist arm like Edward Elric. But imma still keep reading the manga lmfao...

I literally have no idea what the hell happened the first episode???
It felt like it was a random cut of random events in random order, next to no explanation on anything and left me just questioning whether this was an episode of the show or a trailer of shittiest CGI scenes

@Cerulean19 I think you mean Isekai has jumped the shark.... Because of the Happy Days episode where they had a scene with Fonzie on water skis, but still wearing his leather jacket, jumping over a shark. Then people said, enough already. (My apologies if you already knew this.)

An earlier expression for this was "the show has survived itself", but that was overtaken by "jumped the shark", alas.

For me its better if they didn't do forward-backward plot... Just start from the beginning or training & dungeon exploration...

In an original story or movie this isn't a bad idea but in something with preexisting content it is fucking stupid.

I would recommend the LN on this one as over all this was a bad case of the dreaded poor management. I'll still be watching cause "I'm trash" but, I still have some Hope as the story is quite enjoyable and the mc has good motives towards his goal and overall it's the world around that is the best part about the story that k enjoyed. Again suggest the LN and screw the animations they were shit

Can someone explain what happened really have no idea what just happened and what I just watched I am so confused. So from eating the monsters meat he got some power? Why has his hair turned grey wasnt it black before? Or did it happen cos of the holy water? Who is that girl with the blonde hair at the end?

hmmmm not sure what to say, whatever the MC eats, he would incorporate its opponents skill and he can just transmutate anything as long as he knows the element? talk about convenience...it he a levelled down Rimuru!?

The later plot is focus more on the op edginess mc recruiting his harem while defeating everything on his way.

With buildup toward this part being so weak I don't see this serie has any redeeming factor later on, especially when ep1 is usually the highest standard of production anime producer trying to showcase to their audience to hook them, especially in a short 13 episode serie like this. But if they can't even do their ep1 right there's no reason to believe later episodes would be better. It's not just about the storying being "slow" which is usually the reason why people give it 3 episodes at first to see if the "story" pickup later. It's about the production value , storyboard, script, characterization being absolutely horrendous in the very first episode.

SAO at least impress all the fans with the first few episodes.
They don't just fuck it up first episode and drive away everyone.
Production wise SAO is like 100 times better too regardless of how bad the plot goes later on.

I hope they rewrite the epsode into a better one and so on

One of the worst first episode I've ever seen in my life. It felt rushed with terrible pacing, chaotic, with bad CGI, clingy. I don't know what is the background of main character's story and his relations with others. Hah, if not the opening and this anime's description, I wouldn't be sure if I was watching an isekai or something else. Random and bad. I'm dropping it, this episode was enough to successfully discourage me from watching this show.

What kind of Naofumi (Tate no Yuusha No Nariagari) albino and Rimuru (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta-ken) is this protagonist? ... Also, with a touch of DanMachi xD. Those who saw those animes, will know what I mean.
It was the isekai who had more hope of this new season, but this first episode ended up being a disappointment. The story is very hasty. They did not even show us how the characters came to that world, nor why they were invoked there. We only know that the protagonist was the weakest of all and was betrayed by the old man in the armor.

Well, to see how the story unfolds in the next episodes. I hope the plot improves a bit.

Didn't waste time throwing the opening in there... which was weird... Anyway, guess this is where all the Isekai Edge went this season, that was quite a start. It was better than I thought, but not as good as I'd hoped... But I expected it to be complete and utter unwatchable garbage... So that ain't saying much.

LN and manga are awesome...I don't know who created this but he has no idea about what he is doing....What kind of narration is that?...How stupid can someone be to screw this plot?..R.I.P anime...I will still always be a fan of the series coz I enjoyed LN and manga a lot...
