Deep web refers to unlisted servers. Since I had a friend that created temporarily unlisted server to exchange files with me, yes, I have accessed "deep web".

Deep web is ANY content that's unlisted.

If you put something in spoiler tags on MAL, that's the deep web. Search engines can't see what's in spoiler tags.

Yes, I suppose that fits the definition. However, I would not consider it "deep web" for any indexed content that:
- links unlisted content within the same domain;
- integrates unlisted content within indexed content (spoiler tags, iframes, video element sources from non-domain address, etc);
- has a domain name;

The idea of "deep web" is to reflect that any computer connected to the internet can easily install one or more servers (on one or more ports) and provide a content accessible to internet, thus there are far more servers and content on internet that it is visible to the users. (Note - the users, not the search engines).

Since domain names are stored into searchable registry, one could list all domain names and thus access a server on that domain. Alternatively, one could use search engine to find specific content on any server available.

Unlike the above two cases, there is no way to find unlisted IP+port server or *.onion servers (IPv4 space + 2^16 ports is too large to scan, IPv6 is even larger, the onion space is 36^16 so it is still large). Finding addresses and URLs that provides content in such huge space is impossible, which is the essence of the idea behind the "deep web". Finding a content with one click is not something that should be considered "deep web".

Did it once just for the heck of it out of curiosity but immediately uninstalled Tor. There's nothing I desire that I'd need to go through illegal means to acquire. But it is funny that's it's just right there for anybody to access, like that your grandma could just go on there and in a matter of seconds be buying cocaine and have it delivered right to her in just a couple days; I can't believe it's actually that easy.

NOTE: I'm assuming you mean Dark Web and not Deep Web

Nope, have watched a few videos talking about it tho. Seems like mostly just a bunch virus sites that are waiting for a prey.

Sometimes I'll visit. I haven't lately since I can't find my fingerless gloves.

Yes, out of curiosity. There are some good sites there (e.g. the ones that sell DRM-free music and e-books)

Technically, isn't the deep web just anything not indexed by search engines?
If you login to a website and access areas of the site that aren't indexed or you go to any backend part of a site, that is the deep web. A web-based intranet, for example.

I haven't personally (Too sketchy) but I have a mate who used to go on it sometimes, he said there was some pretty grim stuff on there.

I used Tor browser once, out of curiosity, but didn't go anywhere really deep enough to make for interesting tale, lol. I think I'd rather just read the crazy stories than to go there myself.
