| I haven't watched much from them but the ones I did watched, 3-gatsu and Madoka, both looked very aesthetically pleasing and engaging. 3-gatsu in particular benefitted a lot by it in a visual storytelling perspective. The visual effects along with the superb directing amplified the poignance of already incredibly well thought-out scenes from the original material and made it my favorite anime of all time. So yeah I really like Shaft, I'm hopeful that they won't let me down with their other more popular title Monogatari series. |

| Most of their work is badーrarely are they able to produce something passable or good. I grew up with watching Akiyuki Shinbo’s directorial work & really enjoyed Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Yuna when I was a kid, but started to become disenchanted when Moonphase & Cossette no Shouzou were released in the mid-2000s. I like Hidamari Sketchーas well as Bakemonogatari & a couple of its continuationsーbut, for the most part, I consider them a hack company the relies on the same gimmicks re-packaged pretentiously to appease the masses; making boat-loads of cash off of psuedo-intellectually masked ass shots of little girls, monologues, & pretty colors. In general, I usually rate their series no higher than a 3 (very bad)ーmost of the time. |

| They're pretty unique, didn't like them at first but after watching the Monogatari series I came to like their work. |

| My view on Shaft is that it belongs in the trash can. At least their art is good. However everything else about this studio is dogshit. |
| I don’t hate them but I’m not a huge fan. They have a lot of 3D mixing with 2D that I don’t like much. Plenty of studios do a worse job at it to the point where it detracts from the anime. With shaft it’s more of a minor annoyance |
