| Why are comparing this to AOT? Read the source material if you want to know what to expect. Aimer is doing the ending and hopefully some of the OST, so that will be great. The action looks phenomenal based on the PVs. It should be the best show of the season, most likely. |

| Not sure why you needed to mention snk as I knew it would become a attack on AOT, get it? lol, I think it is number 1 and 2, base off the 50 chapters I read its a pretty good Historical series. The plot isn't anything special, but the characters and the great fight carries this series imo. |

| Don't compare it to AoT it's so much different, but it also shares some similarities. Vinland Saga is an epic tale about Revenge, Guilt and War in a detailed Historic Setting. What it shares with AoT is the roughness of the story and the change of direction within it's story. The MC Thorfinn goes through some deep changes over the course of the different arcs and his motivation shifts drastically. So I think Vinland Saga is very focused on Character Development, but you can also expect some rough and gory action, especially in this first season. Later on politics become also a huge part of this series. What you don't have is the suspense and mystery you can find in AoT. |
| It probably adapts the weakest part of the Manga (everything pre Farm arc),its the prolouge and the part with the most fighting so it will be exciting to watch and the Characters are no wear near as 1 dimensional as the SnK Characters even tho its the weakest parts of the story. Much blood,many deaths and lots and lots of Vikings will be in this Season....and a Tsundere king boi. |

| For the first arc what this series adapts it is a action historical seinen. Vinland Saga switches genres though. The next arc starts off more as a slice of life goes back to the action for a bit (though less focused around the main cast) and then to a more pure adventure story. (it is called Vinland Saga after all) The series isn't really that comparable to AOT a dark high octane fantasy anime/manga vs a very grounded historical series. Though kinda similar the first arc is more action heavy (though especially in the villain there is a lot of character development). Later arcs are more character focused. I like both AOT and Vinland a lot though I would give the edge to Vinland still I feel what each story is trying to do is very different. |

| Vinland Saga is incredible. Much deeper characters than what you get in AoT. AoT has more epic moments due to the nature of the story. They're fighting giant titans and they're swinging all over the place like Spiderman to do so. Look, it should be an incredible show if they adapt it well. |

| The first season will cover the prologue, that's full with action and violence but also great character moments. The full story falls into the last category, an epic journey with war, deep narrative and great characters and some philosophical layers. |

| I would not expect that much, talking about anime adaptations. I haven't read Vinland Saga yet (but it's been in my PTR for a long time) and I expect this to be good, but if it is not I would not be surprised at all. |
| I'm expecting great things considering I'm a fan of the manga and it will likely adapt a part of the manga which is perfect for 24 episodes. |

| Yeah this is a completely different beast from AOT which is a comparison only being made solely due to both shows sharing the same studios despite being totally unrelated. Its a historical action-action interspersed with then time period politics manga like as mentioned Berserk only it takes place at a real place & time in history as well as using actual historical characters in the story. The most unrealistic things this shows are just gonna be some low level superhuman strength stunts mostly done by one character who is the settings strongest warrior so nothing straight up fantasy like monsters or superpowers. |
