Speaking personally I've (so far at least) really liked them a lot (even if Infinite has some definite missteps imo, it's still a really compelling game). But if I were to say my favorite, it'd probably be either the first Bioshock or the second. Bioshock had a really compelling artstyle and atmosphere, plus I loved how experimental you could make the game be. Playing it on higher difficulties, I was compelled to think outside the box far more often, and that ended up helping it a lot.

I liked Bioshock 2 mostly because it felt like some improvements gameplay wise on the first, while still keeping that really nice explorative level design that rewards exploration and tactical strategy. The story may not be as impactful as the first, but it's still interesting nonetheless.

Infinite had a really nice artstyle and aesthetic to it, and although despite some shit in the plot I wasn't fond of, it still was a fun game to play through. I wasn't really fond of the combat though. Bioshock's gunplay wasn't really great, so making that the core of the game while stripping out a lot of the more tactical side of things wasn't great.

(I haven't played Minerva's Den yet, nor Burial at Sea, but I do plan on doing so eventually)

TLDR: Bioshock 1-2 are great imo, Infinite's good but not great

Infinite > 1 > 2

Infinite is the best for me. Love Elizabeth, one of the most helpful NPC.

The original is the best. I remember being awed by the dark atmosphere of Rapture the first time I played it. Good homage to the masterpiece System Shock games.

Second is also good, but the story leaves a lot to be desired. I enjoyed the minor gameplay improvements, though.

Contrary to many fans and critics, I couldn't get into Infinite despite multiple attempts. Other than replacing Rapture with a generic steampunk American city, I didn't like the plot and characters at all.

Elizabeth is just a angel i found in the skies,,She is glorious,,She is beautiful kind smart and always there for you ,,Support often pissing me off because they are in the fucking way... My waifu is never in the way,,,,She is a real support,,,And with my pretty waifu at my side i have something to fight for,,,, She made that game so great

The first one is my favorite, mainly for nostalgia reasons. I still remember being scared shitless when I played it without knowing what it was about, years and years ago. Even if Infinite is arguably better, the original will always hold a special place in my memories.

Couldn't finish any of those games. They just make me want to play older FPS like System Shock 2 or the first Deus Ex.

Def the first one. I liked Infinite too, especially the relationship / story / mystery around Elizabeth. But the original had such an unique, creepy atmosphere, I loved it.
Haven't played it in years, now I'm craving a few hours of wrench swinging XD

Infinite is the one I remember the most, so I guess that one.

This song is also part of why I remember it.

I consider all three entries as at least "good" games but in the end I'd pick Infinite ultimately as I prefer the Sky City enviroment over the dreadful underwater city. Plus Elizabeth is really one of the best NPC companions in video gaming. Design AND utility wise.
Yes, BS1 and 2 might have more "choices" but those choices are as basic as "either this or that". Which is not wrong in itself, the game OneShort has that as well, but in BS it feels somewhat less impactful as you really trigger those at the end game only. The choices don't have much time to "flourish" over time.

Bioshock 1 is the best
Bioshock 2 is basically a DLC of the first one
Bioshock infinite is a garbage corridor shooter with a convoluted non nonsensical story.

1 > 2 > infinite

Infinite was the best one, other two were meh.

Best aesthetics/artstyle, best soundtrack, best setting, best (and cutest/sexiest) companion, best paced and most exciting story with twists that are actually impactful instead of changing a literally who villain with another literally who villain like the first Bioshock did...

I feel gameplay may not have been as strong, but then again gameplay was never particularly good either or the main reason to play the game.

Infinite is what got me into the series.

But its the last one that I played (played Bioshock 1 and 2+DLC).

Really enjoyed Infinite the most.

Wish they would make a new one.

Infinite is really good, but the atmosphere of Rapture in the first game completely struck me, I didn't expect this level of madness but I truly loved it

Playing as a Big Daddy in the 2nd Bioshock is exciting, but I prefer the fear from the first game

Pretty tough call for me, as few games intros have ever stuck me like seeing Rapture for the first time.

However, I voted Infinite + Burial at Sea because it does tie everything together, despite everyone still not getting it and saying it doesn't make sense.

For me, it's definitely the first Bioshock game. Then, it would be Bioshock Infinite. Bioshock 2 didn't really appeal to me as much as the original for some reason.

I'm really curious about the future of those franchise. There had been "teases" for a new game but nothing confirmed.

The original was more horror oriented than the sequels. So it has to be my personal pick. Although i think Infinite brought a lot of interesting ideas to the table, despite being very flawed. I respect it.

1 and 2 are close. With that said, I'd probably put 2 as my favourite. Not a fan of Infinite, however.
