It also helps very much that she is voiced by one of the best seiyu in history, Noriko Hidaka.
Weird, it seems there is some invisble bond between Hidaka, Kappei Yamaguchi, Megumi Hayashibara, Wakana Yamazaki, and Yukino Satsuki - they are in a lot of stuff together...

That being said, I would probably watch Takashi's anime in airing order, so I wouldn't start with Ranma 1/2.

Ranma 1/2 is her best work imo. The anime not so much...
Akane is best girl tho and that pic of her is 🔥🔥🔥

I've been meaning to get into the whole Bubblegum Crisis/AD police franchise, Project A-ko, and the Record of Lodoss war one.

Lol, she looks so fat in that fanart. xD In the show, she has big hips and tiny boobs and Ranma always points this out...so that's kinda funny but it's not worth it.

Watch Inuyasha instead; it's a far better show and has a satisfying conclusion.
