THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
The name is Doppio! More focus on the underboss this episode.

Oh and Polanreff is back. It's been quite awhile. An important episode for sure since it showed ow he's been tracking down the arrows.
It's great to see Polanreff again.

Diavolo actually looks really menacing but I'm kinda disappointed that he don't have black lipstick but i will get used to the purple eventually, thank god he has lipstick either way and the cliffhanger was really good.

Amazing episode, I've been waiting for the boss's reveal for a while. The reveal scene was great in general, way better than I expected. Just six episodes remaining, yet we're about to see an amazing arc, and I'm pretty sure David Production will not mess this up. Diavolo's design is also something I particularly liked, pretty faithful to the manga.

Overall, 5/5

Finally, Diavolo's full reveal. RIP Polnareff, you had an adventurous yet a really rough life. A new weird-looking creature appears before Diavolo.

Bucciarati is truly a good guy;_;

And wow, one of the most hype villain reveals ever, I knew exactly what was going to happen, but I was still so immersed and captured by the intensity. Godly adaptation 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

P.S. I would honestly go full homo for Diavolo 🔥
Kokoro did nothing wrong.

Another amazing episode......that's honestly all I have to say. Diavolo is truly a scary scary man.

RIP Polnareff :(
I'm no special story or anything. I'm just a manga that wants to be read, like you could find anywhere. But, if, for argument's sake, you were to adapt me into an anime series, it would certainly be....a tragedy.

Holy hell David pro couldnt have done that reveal any better, the whole ordeal was just oozing suspense and a sense of dread. These next 5 episodes are going to be the wildest fucking rides seen in the series yet and I'm positive David pro will pull it off

Diavolo reveal was lit. A guy who looks like a rocker with pink hair has never been so intimidating before.
Also RIP Polnareff, he was one of my fav characters from Part 3, so seeing him dying like that was very sad to see. He deserved better ;_;

In both cases man (Polnareff) is in the middle, while god (DIO) stood at the top and the devil (Diavolo) at the bottom.

As always the sound effects were god tier as well as the space background in the king crimson moments. Can’t wait to see more especially with future episodes hopefully showing the stand arrow.

The reveal scene was so fucking amazing, I was really hyped for that.

Also lmao, DP seems to have something against black lipstick. First they change abacchio lips to blue and now Diavolo lips are purple.

God-tier ep! Fuck man, the endgames of every JoJo part so far have always been thrilling to get to. The direction was absolutely spot on, I loved every moment of this. The Pol/Diavolo shared flashback was so perfectly handled I was staggered, same with Diavolo's reveal and my GOD MY BOY AT THE END. The music. The build-up. Fucking perfection. God I still have to go over it, the flashback was absolutely brilliant. It went better than anything I'd imagined in my head, the additional scenes, the great art, the great OST, the top-tier directing (especially the shot of Diavolo menacingly holding the organization beneath his hands, exactly like King Crimson in that one promotional poster for the anime)
SnK and JoJo are having some of their best ever episodes in the coming weeks, what a good season this is.

It's so bad to have polnareff die here after surviving Egypt expedition.

what was that at the end? could it be that Polnareff has merged with his stand?

Clearly you're in the minority given the ratings for the past few eps, why do you keep watching if you don't like it? Just drop the anime if it isn't for you. None of your criticisms before have made any lick of sense.

This entire arc for me is just luke-warm, nothing like season 4 where character deaths made me bawl my eyes out. Felt nothing when Polnareffuuuu died.

Risotto was also criminally underutilised, one barely got to see him before he kicked the bucket. For shame, with a voice like that..

Could you please be more defensive and insecure about you liking this season and him disliking it? Fucking hell, your backbone needs some proper support to keep you up right.

aaaaaaaaaaaaa diavolo reveal finally - he's my 3rd fave jojo villain after kira and dio

idk though, i felt hyped during this ep but not AS hyped as i did when i read the manga. still this was amazing though

the animation quality is getting a bit yikes but the colours are so vibrant and i love diavolo's style

rip to polnareff though :( i'm really sad that we barely got to see his character but i feel he was still contributing to the plot and did what he needed to do before dying. it''s nice to know he was still hanging around and survived to diavolo after their first fight

In what way was I defensive or insecure? None of his posts hold any substantial criticism, I've seen his posts for weeks now to know that it's clear he doesn't actually like the show because he makes vague 'points' like "wow the animation was bad/wonky this ep" despite being wrong/not bothering to give examples when asked further. Perhaps fuck off, mate? There's nothing wrong with suggesting someone should drop a show they're clearly no longer enjoying to begin with, no need to make an ass of yourself further.

Doppio manipulating Bruno like that was entertaining yet sad, seems like Bruno is about to die, though. Goddamn with this artstyle 195cm seems so tiny. Seems like Polnareff died (?) Not sure because of the very ending.

I feel you bro, and for a moment I was revived this episode, just for Polnareff to die too. RIP Part 5.

Well, he did scratch a careful Diavolo without any BS, and that's already more than what most characters can boast with.

P.S. I feel like this is the first time Part 5 was actually done justice. They were probably saving all their budget for these episodes(but my question is: did were they seriously not able to find the resources for a complete proper adaptation, or do they really not care enough to).

I'd like to know what is it that makes you dislike it after Abbacchio's death. To me, the entire Green Day and Oasis arc has been great so far and Diavolo's reveal was really menacing (Lets not talk about how great was to see "him" at the very end of the episode). I've seen your older comments saying that these last episodes has been lacking on direction, but imho, it has been the other way around, DP is making justice to the manga and made it even better.

Torture dance, King Crimson reveal, Grateful Dead, White Album, Notorious BIG, King Crimson vs Metallica, 7-page MUDA...these are just a few examples, which were absolutely stunning in anime.

Do you think now that Diavolo has been revealed, the OP will be updated next week? Like DIO and Kira in parts 3 and 4, I could see King Crimson fucking with the OP. That would be pretty cool.

First things first your statement that I should drop part 5 cuz I didn't enjoy the last couple of episodes is silly, don't you think? If you didn't know I gave the show a 10/10 and I still stand by that (maybe I'll change it to a 9/10 at worst). It's pretty much my favourite (anime) part and even if the next episodes are going to be as "bad" as the current ones it'll still be my favourite part.

Can't really disagree with my last couple of posts being pretty much worthless and sorry that I didn't respond to you but what else is there to tell... There are so many things I did not like and I really didn't feel like to pintpoint all of them. I left my vague opinions in those threads in hopes that someone understands or shares the same opinion as me because apparently those episode are well received (according to the polls) and I don't really understand why.
I could give you some examples and those might be nitpicky to some but there are so many of them I don't think you can overlook them but I will do that in another post. It's currently late here and I don't have all those scenes in my head so I have to rewatch some parts here and there. See you then.

This episode was EXCELLENT! Art, effects, tension, dialogues. Diavolo's reveal looked phenomenal. Now I know why a lot of people familiar with manga were so hyped about it. It looked awesome in anime, but when I compare it to original manga's source then I must say it looked there epic as well.

Diavolo looks THICC, by the way. :O

Damn, poor Bucciarati. :( He is genuinely loosing all of his senses so fast. Good that my man Doppio helped him (xD). But to call him in a siuation like this... (xD) By the way, Bucciarati's reminded me one thing... that inside this show's action Abbacchio died just not so long ago. So many things happened in such a short amount of time.

Too bad Trish was not the one Bucciarati was talking to about his house in Naples and how Trish deserves a good life after everything is over.

And the last thing... Jean Pierre Polnareff. His story about how he ended up in Colosseum like that was great and sad at the same time. Man, too bad he seems to be dead, but his Stand survived somehow. Is it that Requiem omen everyone keeps talking about? :D Oh, one last thing: what was wrong with Joseph's face in last memory Polnareff had before passing out? xD It totally didn't fit the mood.

I want to see what Silver Chariot Requiem works like. From what I read from you guys, next episodes might be even more epic. No need to add more words of appreciation: this episode was one of the best from this Part, it doesn't matter from which perspective you will look at it.

Oh, and one more thing not related to this episode: HAPPY 59th BIRTHDAY, MR. HIROHIKO ARAKI!

Diavolo looked super cool in that way, damn! The villainy got skyrocketing with that image! I felt bad for Polnareff, but hey the guy has survived and ruled the mafia without getting discovered for so long. You couldn't beat that. Diavolo needs to be defeated by a technical genius such as Giorno, it's only fair.

But Bucciarati man, You can't kill the guy! There is got to be a way for him to survive all this.
