volume 14+ and 14++?

what's with the whole volume 14+ and 14++ thing, is the idea that those volumes are continuing the story of the 14th volume, I'm not sure about this choice, can someone explain

Yes both of them is about what's happened in grimgar in the same time as Haruhiro and his team were in Parano (meanwhile in Grimgar) + some side stories
