It looks like this is going to be an all CG movie (I wasn’t aware of that until this PV). I don’t think that detail was announced when the movie was first reveal, but I might be wrong.

If that’s indeed the case, besides doing the character designs, I guess Yukiko Horiguchi isn’t really going to be involved in the animation, which is kinda a let down. I was looking forward to see more of her stuff (as an animator), just like the slice of life shorts from Ano Hi no Kanojo-tachi (22/7) she is recently being involved in. Love those shorts.

Anyhow, I’ll watch this movie. The story kinda intrigues me. Plus the overall CG looks good, at least from that newest PV I saw. I gotta admit though, the whole “If I could redo that time all over again” time travel theme is getting a bit overused nowadays in media.

Good shit. It's nice to see Official髭男dism get to do one of the theme songs. Their songs are great!

I heard the character design this time uses CGI effects, not from the image of a human hand.

Looks interesting, the CGI and the art actually go really well with each other. Definitely interested, Hello World kinda makes it seems like a programming movie. XD

I'll try to have as less spoilers as possible, but right after finishing the anime I have to say, plot wise it is quite confusing, a mix between science and tech and parallel world stuff, but the animation and all is quite awesome all the same. It's a great movie overall to enjoy, not as much coding focus as the title suggests, the meaning of the title was generally more..."exonerated"? towards the end, it took me a while to somewhat understand what's going on, like the fireworks anime, another similarly confusing anime considering how the story starts. Well you may comprehend this more once you actually watched the movie, so to everyone who reads this, be it having watched it or no, enjoy. Do share your opinions on this :>

I agree with you about the movie being confusing. While I was watching the movie, I heard people saying things like "What's going on?", "Ok, I'm lost.", "This is so complex.", so I guess you aren't alone. The animation is impressive and the plot is more or less unique. But my friends and I left feeling a bit empty, like something was missing. I think it was the lack of relationship development between the characters and thus it was difficult to have an emotional connection with them in order to empathise with what they were going through. Not sure if it is just me but the progression of the movie felt a bit forced and rushed. All in all, I feel that it's not a bad movie, but it's not really an amazing one either. Nice scenes of Kyoto though.
