Hey! Yes I've read the rules for posting here. I didn't find the reccomendations, top list and search list useful for what I want so here I am.

What I'm looking for is a supernatural seinen manga or anime that's tragic/sad. Some manga/anime ive read/seen that fall under this "category" are Berserk, Tokyo Ghoul, Claymore, Attack on Titan, Fire Punch, Code Geass and Parasyte. I'm looking for something similar, and preferrably a completed one.

As you can see, all of these are pretty known ones besides Fire Punch, which I happened to stumble upon and read recently(its author is the author of the relatively new shounen jump series Chainsawman which I gotta say like a lot). I'm looking for more hidden gems like it, or known ones that I might have missed.

Thank you for any recommendations.

I got a few suggestions. Sorry if you seen them

Full Metal Alchemist: brotherhood

Deadman Wonderland (manga is better than anime)

Shiki

Kiznaiver (not really supernatural, however is a good anime when it comes to being tragic)

and last... possibly
Dangaronpa

Gotta agree with Toha on Saishuu Heiki Kanojo and Imawa no Kuni no Alice, SaiKano especially if you're looking for tragedy.

If you haven't seen Madoka yet, don't let it fool you, it's anything but a traditional magic girl anime, it's all kinds of messed up.

Pretty much all the Apothecary stories are tragic in one way or another. That certainly applies to the first one, "Bake Neko," that ends the anthology Ayakashi Samurai Horror Tales. They continue on in the series Mononoke. Try tracking down "Bake Neko" first; it helps to watch them in order. Mononoke streams at Crunchyroll.
