Why? You know you are going to fail.

England sometimes convinces you they might win before they fail yet again at the first good team they have to play in a major tournament. England are world champions at beating Hungary, Slovenia and the like 4-0 in the qualies though.

Pretty disappointed your lot didn't kick lumps out of KDB tbh. Could have been the plan I suppose, they just couldn't get near him.

We have quite possibly the best team in the world coming to Carrow Road tomorrow and looking at our injury list you'd think that a bomb had gone off at Colney.

Krul - Minor doubt for tomorrow
Aarons - 1 month
Klose - 9 months
Zimmermann - 4 months (this is lucky as they were worried about his career at one point)
Godfrey - Major doubt for tomorrow
Hanley - Can probably play 20-30 mins tomorrow
Trybull - 1 month
Vrancic - Didn't give time frame but it's a calf strain so at least a game or two
Leitner - Calf injury, hasn't trained in 2 weeks
Hernandez - 3 months

Looks like this might be finally Liverpool's year then. The newly promoted teams like Norwich look pretty good too, shows the tough competition in EPL, unlike other leagues.~

Decent win for United too!

Well that was an... unexpected result

I guess there are two things that need to be taken away from this:

1) Norwich are actually really brave to put on a performance like this against City, especially considering how many starters they had injured. If they're gonna keep this up in addition to Pukki's form then they could finish this season at a pretty decent placing

2) Laporte's absence might turn out to be a bigger deal than people made it out to be. People have always said that City's squad is too deep to get nullified by just one injury (as they have proven in the past) but in this particular case I'm not so sure because their defense looked very sub-par today compared to what we're used to seeing. Considering Laporte will miss more than half the season, that could very well be the difference between City winning the league again and Liverpool managing to take it away from them

Another good result, only QPR could be 3-0 and hit the bar 2-3 times in the first 30 minutes and then end up hanging on at the final whistle.

Wouldn't panic, the Cowleys have inherited series of bad signings from our previous manager who play like they have zero chemistry.

Which pub are you in? Have they just shoved you in a grim away only pub like the Boy and Barrel or have you managed to find somewhere decent?

What can I say, After 4 games of la liga, mediocre start for Madrid and Barca. Madrid’s injuries are stacking.

Idk Barca may have started slowly but they were excellent this weekend against Valencia and considering that Messi hasn't even gotten to play yet I can only assume things will get better for them. Meanwhile Hazard has barely featured yet for Real either. So I don't think we should jump the gun too much yet

Atletico actually looked the best in the first couple fixtures but then they blew it this weekend instead so welp

Barca playing well at home against a shakey Valencia who has just sacked their manager Marcelino Garcia Toral is not a good indicator of their performance either. Their performance in the first 4 games has been inconsistent with an a loss-win-draw-win, and the 5 goals scored in 2 games should not mask that fact they conceded 2 goals in those games also.
Madrid, on the other hand, has been lacking in defense similarly, wasting chances, and injuries are piling up until recently they got a bit of relief with Hazard coming back. Last game, Zidane really overdid it by pulling Casemiro and Ramos simultaneously early, seemed overconfident on his part.
I hope things do get better cause players are just starting the competitive season, so this is a transitioning and adjusting phase at the moment before they can become hopefully more consistent.

Madrid's defense and midfield aren't looking convincing at all. Looks like rebuilding a team is actually a difficult job(that it's more than just spending money on star players) and very few managers can do that. ~

that aside, very nice to see some new teams with good performances in CL. ~

Athletico Madrid play goal music when they score you've had a wonderful 68k stadium built and you ruin the atmosphere by playing music when you score why?

It wouldn’t be first time Madrid would have to reform its team and rebuild it. Just like in 2009, but it needs time and good planning. goal scoring has been lacking since Ronaldo left. Midfield is on the decline with Modrić advancing in age and Casemiro being inconsistent in 2019. Similarly, the defense has been lacking and Carvajal has been the most underwhelming in madrid’s defense this year. Odriozola should start in his place to make him know his place is not guaranteed on the team. Squad depth was also one of Madrid’s strong points but now it has become a weakness with many players getting injured and no adequate replacement. Even during Zidane’s weakest season with madrid (2017-18) prior his leave, madrid managed to beat PSG 3-1 and 1-2 which speaks volumes about how much backwards the team is going.

Amine Harit is ecstatic. Don't recall a Schalke player foot touching the ball so gently as his since Lincoln. The entire team is showing great plays so far. Looks like it is going to be a nice season.

Still...you shouldn’t lose to some no-name 4th tier team.

Schalke winning against Leipzig really surprised me and lets me believe in a good development this season. Harit continues to impress and so do the others with both mentality and playstyle. Last time they played this good was exactly 7 years ago. 7 freaking years.
