Who’s your favourite bad boy or somewhat antagonist male character?

lmao does kyuubey from madoka magica count as a boy?

regardless, he is one of my favorite antagonists since he's an alien with his own set of values regarding what is best for the universe, so he is like a true neutral who just wants to lighten up on the entropy.

Well, Kira Yoshikage is not a "boy" exactly (he's too manly for that), but he's a damn good of an antagonist.

Also, Shougo Makishima, Johan Liebert and Takasugi Shinsuke are awesome antagonists.

It's either Kira Yoshikage or Pain. To me, Kira was a more compelling villain and character because he is just a serial killer. He has killed for a long time, and he's gotten good at it--crafty and always careful to cover his tracks. But he's still human. We get to see the story from his perspective in several cases. We get to see how he struggles with instincts that he just can't manage, and we get to see him at his most callous and cruel. And on the other side Pain is definitely the best villain in Naruto plus the most balanced character in series. His ideology was unique and in many aspects much better than that of Madara's. I always felt like his motives and plans made sense compared to other villains. When he hears Naruto go on about saving the world he's just like "oh how noble. How exactly are you gonna do that?" It was the first time I think that even Naruto himself didn't really have a retort or answer, he was, for a while, broken by Pain's words because they did make a kind of sense.

Funny Valentine from JoJo SBR, is awesone how in the begining he looks lika a "neutral" character, but when the plot goes on he shows his true intentions and his false patriotism.

Does Itachi Uchiha count?
Like he could be a half-antagonist depending on how you look at it.

If not, then it’s definitely Izaya Orihara from the Durarara!! series. Such ideals and a unique manner of taking care of things, totally within my field of awesomeness!

Uhh I usually forgot antagonist characters in every series...
But Gintama has some unforgettable antagonists to me like Takasugi Shinsuke, Kamui, Utsuro, Jirocho, etc. They're awesome and likeable...

Johan Liebert will always be my number 1 antagonist. Meruem, Hisoka, Kira Yoshikage, Funny Valentine, Yagami Light, Takasugi Shinsuke, Griffith and Makishima Shougo are some great ones as well.

If manga counts, then Askaladd from Vinland Saga.
If not, then probably Griffith from Berserk. One of the most well-developed villains in anime history.

What I love about Johan Liebert is how, unlike most anime villains, he doesn't try so hard to be evil: he's actually subtle.

Light would have to be my favorite. Nothing beats a good old fashion mass murderer who thinks he is god :).

man i'm so tired of hearing this
light by definition is not the antagonist
the main character is never the antagonist no matter what their morals are

Man is hard:

Meruem, Johan, Kira, Dio, Diavolo, Pain, Madara and Griffith ( I hate that guy, but is probably the best villian of all time )

Lol just like your username says he is a nihilist and that works perfectly on him being quite subtle.

I'd say Johan and I are different kinds of Nihilists (I'm actually having an identity crisis of whether I'm a Nihilist or an Existentialist). Johan believes life should cease to exist, while I don't.

Would Scientific Railgun Accelerator count?

Gilgamesh from Fate series.

Gilgamesh is a strong antagonist with a lot of flaws. He came from a time where he was worshiped as a god by people who mattered. Now he's in a place that isn't even worthy to have him as a king. His main goal is to restore value to mankind. This is incredibly selfish due to the way that he pursues it, but it's not unreasonable for him to be how he is. Due to the sheer weight of him accomplishments, he should be entitled to everything he wants.

Griffith.

Griffith is the best antagonist in all of Anime. Before watching Berserk, I never had an idea of who my favorite antagonist would be, but after watching Berserk, I can safely say that nobody even comes close. Amazing character.
