Great episode, the name of the boss and the arrow. Hype to see the mysterious man, and Doppio is always funny with is TURURURURU, I always laugh each time he did it xD
New vilains, don’t know the seiyuu for Cioccolata but Secco is voiced by KENN x) Can’t wait to see his stand. Though I found funny how the boss call them

So much revelations today, like the name of the Boss (I think we can finally say his name properly now that it has been revealed) and especially the origin of the Stands. They also made the identity of the man who contacts the gang a bit too obvious, especially if you look at certain detail when he's telling the story (which I'm not going to mention to avoid spoiling people, if there are people that aren't spoiled already).

I was afraid when the narrator started to talk about the backgrounds of Ciocolatta and Secco, since I thought for a moment they would skip the scene between Diavolo and Doppio in the plane (in the manga, if I remember well, it was Diavolo the one who told the story). Though it's not essential to the plot (other than to show that Doppio is currently going to Rome), I love it for the small interaction between Doppio and the little girl. It was beyond adorable, especially when Doppio politely returns to phone toy to the girl and she tries to talk with it after that. I loved that <3

Now we are directing towards one of the best fights of the whole manga. I really hope they give it the justice it deserves, because if they nail it, it will probably be one of the best battles of the year. Ciocolatta's design is neat and he sounds as creepy as I imagined, while Secco sounds as idiotic as I imagined (cannot wait to hear him more later). Man, I can't believe I am finally be able to watch this in motion...

Nobody is gonna mention how cute this was?

That scene was so cute it hurt. Especially the voice of the girl <3

Most disgusting stand ability for the most disgusting user, how fitting. And thanks to localization changing the name to Green Tea, I will never be able to enjoy another cup of that.

Also Sanctuary lol. I mean I guess it kinda makes sense but still oof

"Green Tea" lmao.
Bossu's name finally isn't a spoiler.
Diavolo, the Devil. Dio, the God.
Inverses of each other, knowing who Dio is but not his stand, knowing Diavolo's stand but not his identity. Let's see how dummy thicc Secco is.

Hypocrisy, I guess. It's like hearing Satan calling Adolf Hitler a real jerk.

Cioccolata's past was really creepy and disturbing. Green Day is a weird stand ability but I'm curious how things will play out. Can't wait for the next episode's fight!

Well, it does make sense in an "Even evil has standards" way. Diavolo is a ruthless mob boss, but he has a clear goal and objectives. He wants to hide his identity and continue ruling as The Boss forever, and he dishes out extreme punishments for anyone pursuing his identity, but he doesn't just randomly kill people for sport. Recall how he told Doppio to spare the jerk taxi driver who was trying to bully him, and did not hurt the maid cleaning his room or the kid that saw him kill the fortune teller, or kill Trish's mom before all this, even though the latter two could have endangered his identity. He doesn't just kill for pleasure and thus finds Cioccolata sickening, but a useful and powerful underling.

I really liked the stuff about the arrow. With this the requiem mode will not look like an asspull, unlike opinions I read before in other sites about it.

But now I have one question since we are 10 episodes left.

Also at first i thought the camera-wielding dude was the guy's stand
No, another dude!
Ciocolatta is so messed up

Loved the phone calls between Doppio and Bossu in this episode. The one on the Sardinian shore had some nice foreshadowing.

The introduction of Cioccolata and Secco was pretty intense. They really made a point of how messed up the duo is, with even the boss calling them "the biggest pieces of shit in the world". The fight was amazing in the manga, and I cant wait to see it animated (especially the conclusion, which probably got spoiled already for most people).

My only problem with the episode is the look of Green Day's mold. It just looks... weird.

Those two looks as sick as I remember.
Great episode, this arc is going to be amazing and a great conclusion to the main squad of Diavolo.

Glad it's back, it was hell without it!

Cioccolata is one sadistic bastard, Secco is the worst with that camcorder. Imagine running to these fools in real life, then you would be F'd for real.
Always appreciate the villains in Jojo, the writer knows how to personalize them well.

It's not entirely cause people to think its an asspull but more its a bit anticlimactic after it happens, though i would argue its (not really spoilers but just to not be a dick and set expectations)

I was wondering who the person was that was speaking to Giorno, Bruno, and Trish but the source material readers here never fail to be the cunts they are. "DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE." Do people not understand this?

Anyway, this episode was really great - we get a story about the origins of the Arrows and Stands, the name reveal of the Boss being Diavolo, a new objective in heading to Rome to meet the one who gave Giorno, Bruno, and Trish the scoop on a possible way to defeat Diavolo and lastly, put a name and face to the guy that killed some of Nero's team in Cioccolata. That dude is creepy af, and having Secco as his accomplice only heightens the creep factor - creepy in a scary way and that's before taking into account his stand: Green Day! Oh boy! His stand made me squirm lol

Mista with being quick to think and act in this situation saved the day!

Araki's power of creativity is over 9000.

That anonymous guy speaking on the computer is like L from Death Note speaking to Interpol. Plus the Death Note-like ending song. XD

Ice-cream phone 🤣 And luckily the one sitting next to Dippio on the plane is a little girl 🤣

Wow, even King Crimson feels some kind of disgust toward someone's sadism! This makes me curious to find out more about both the duo and KC. It's interesting how Diavolo values henchmen like Bucciarati and detests monsters like Cioccolata. It's intriguing how Diavolo's Passione gang tends to recruit the fallen outcasts of society, which makes me wonder if there's any altruistic motive on Diavolo's part.

"How can a Stand work like that?!" How can you say that as part of the JoJo cast, Bucci? 🤣

Hah, I like the name Diavolo! Perfect for the final boss.

I think another one of Bucci's gang is going to die before the final fight with the Boss :/ Araki's time to kill off protagonists has begun since last eps.

Great episode. Tons of foreshadowing too, which was interesting. Green Tea is an absolutely devastating stand ability, and I'm curious how powerful Secco is as well. We're reaching the climax, ladies and gentlemen.

I was drinking green tea while watching this episode.
It was a bit like this:
*Sips drink tea*
*Suddenly reads that Green Day was renamed to Green Tea*
*Slowly shoves cup of green tea aside*

Great episode, though. Cioccolata is such a disgusting guy.

There wasn't so much action in this episode, but some shots are really cool and animation looks costant, which usually isn't when there are a ton of dialogues. I am so hyped for the next fight tho

Cioccolata and Secco fINALly, this is the best arc of the series honestly, I can't wait for the Legendary moment.

Also I think I've taken a weird liking to Cioccolata, the adaptation made him look so cool and creepy, and the voice they gave them? Holy shit.
Anyone knows who the voice actor is btw?

According to Behind the Voice Actors, Atsushi Miyauchi. https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Atsushi-Miyauchi/

I'm not familiar with Japanese voice actors, but whoever he is, he pulled it off. It matched well with Ciocolatta's sinister facial expressions and the addition of dark lighting you don't get in the manga.

Damn, when David Production animated the only 6 panels of dancing, they turned it into a whole 1 minutes cool dance.

I want to know how they animated the legend scene.

Finally the mysterious IT guy that we all look forward to seeing.
I like the theory of virus evolution being the origin of stand ability.

When you think you’ve got used to the ring ring ring stuff, it will always catch you off-guard, lol. And this time, we have ice cream & toy phone.
The scene where the 2 drunk guys argue about where to pee was hilarious.

What’s funny is that quite a few anime onlies thought Secco is Cioccolata’s stand at first glance, lol.

Well, well, well! They were desperate to track down the Boss' identity even with a clear facial profile in hand but a mysterious voice suddenly comes up and shows that he knows more about Diavolo than any of the other people who had bothered to investigate him and even explained the creation of Stand Arrows and how Stands can be awakened by a viral infection from space. That's one of the most bizarre things I've ever heard in the franchise considering how these punching ghosts' looks look so...bizarre but it's great to finally know about it. I love how the guy referenced the beloved Stardust Crusaders in his explanation too ♥

Killing people for no reason other than pleasure is already deplorable enough but I personally think that what makes him one of the most disgusting pieces of shit in existence even by Diavolo's standards was his penchant for deliberately targeting and torturing those who are by no means able to defend themselves in any way possible even way before he had acquired Green Day. The amount of old people and patients confined on their beds and operating tables was too much to even count... Gaining that Stand ability made him even more dangerous with how indiscriminate its ability is towards who it affects and how easy it is for it to be triggered in such a wide range. Even his assistant looks like a Stand standing there menacingly with that camcorder on hold. I can only imagine the horrors that camera had captured.

Narancia nearly got molded to death like everyone else but it's very fortunate that Mista got the Sex Pistols to blow them up before they got to.

Cioccolata reminds me of the movie Peeping Tom. I am anime-only, and could not figure out who the hacker is. Also we learned that our boss has the name Diavolo, I think he's probably connected to Dio, since the names are similar. Wonder what will happen next...
