In Japan they don't give a shit about pedos but it's a big deal in the west where they are viewed as the scum of the earth. Which is exactly why the novel is ranked so high on Narou. They don't care about the MC being a pedo. Just look at Rurouni Kenshin's author, he got a slap on the wrist for processing child porn which if he were in any other developed nation, he'd have a heavy jail time easily above 10 years. It's not really an exaggeration too, the MC is literally a pedophile with actions any normal human being would view as disgusting. I'm not really sure how it will do in Japan but one thing is for sure the MC will be the downfall of this anime in the west. |

| The risk is worth. You may have a great chance of it to be a Berserk last season, or Arifureta disaster... ...But it also can turn to be Re:Zero, Shield Hero (which anime is A LOT BETTER than the manga, with necessary adaptations included), Smile Isekai, Konosuba, and lots of other fair adaptations. But it must be warned that Rudeus surely will be not a sucess character to everyone. Many fans of isekai are viciated in overpower flawless protagonists. Rudeus have his cool moments, but also have his problems. An human after all, what is exactly many "escapist" fans of anime are not looking for to watch. |

| They started a new studio for this anime, so it better be good. Honestly, I think every studio has the potential to produce a great anime if they put the effort into it. and as long as they don't outsource everything, there is no reason for them to fuck up. |

| OP was pretty damn correct in his/her view that it would likely take a major ****up to get in the way of this series's success. As for the 2nd post... While I understand the logic of the prediction, given the distorted perception of western tastes based on always present false narratives. (enforced via major mainstream fandom and media organizations and unsocial media) ....It did not age well.. lol |
