Sounds generic as fuck, but i'm isekai trash and will probably watch anyway. Anyone know how good it'll be?

IIRC from browsing 4chan a while back a lot of people said there was comedy in here that's pretty good and flows well.

It's from White Fox so I guess it'll be above average.

The synopsis looks hilarious. I think it will excel in comedy. Cant say for other departments.

This is one of the kind of isekai that have so many comedy, like KonoSuba. The difference is the MC is overpowered and the strongest hero to ever exist. The only problem that MC has is he is too cautious, and that is funny.

When the goddess told him to say "status" to see his status (skills, weaknesses, etc.), he refuse because he think it's a trap and choose to say "property". When the goddess ask him to start their journey, he refuse again and choose to train, even though he is already overpowered. When the goddess offer him food because he never ate and only training, he think the food is poisoned.

I just finished volume 1 of the LN, and I must say... what an unironic masterpiece. It is a brilliant parody of the isekai formula.

The issue it's going to cause is the main character's personality. He's so cautious, but he doesn't care about NPC's or public property (for example, he pours holy water on everyone just in case they're undead). It all depends on your disposition of him.

Also, I advise being perfectly prepared for any memes that this series may spawn in the community.

Even Maou-sama Retry says that it was parody, but apart from the productive values of a potato, Really at this point that one can make fun of this genre when it has no dignity? It's like making fun of a clown for trying to be ridiculous when it's ridiculous. The genre at this point does not need more pseudo-parodies these works only fall into the reiterative, before continuing to kick a dead, should first defend yourself, first to create a solid and respectable anime with a Good story.

I have a feeling it's worth to watch. You know, the studio is White Fox and licensed by Kadokawa.

Based on the plot synopsis, this won't be generic, but it'll probably repeat the same joke over and over, so I don't think it'll be particularly good either.

It's a sort of Konosuba, I'm reading the manga and it's very funny.
It will be also in Isekai Quartet 2 in my opinion.

I hate isekai, but Umehara voicing the main character is well enough to convince me into giving this a try lmao

We're in a new age of light novels, where for some reason, everything has a really long name, or a super blunt name. For example, "In Another World With My Smartphone". Very blunt of what the premise of the show is about, and relatively long.

Lol no kidding, and that's not even close to some of the manga i've read, i'm currently reading a manga called and i quote:

"Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10 Nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita"

or for the english title:

"I Became a Legend a Decade Later After Telling My Comrades to Leave Everything to Me and Retreat First"

Not sure what happened recently but it seems like everything has to have a long name these days.

I started reading the manga just before the anime was announced and so far it's hilarious. Even funnier, apparently the Demon Lord they're supposed to fight is also genre savvy, so things are going to get interesting.

The genre already has good anime, the fact that many of you try to reject this reality is your problem. Moreover, this is first of all an LN... the author didn't write an anime. There are way more issekai LN's and manga than anime (the anime just barely brush the tip of the iceberg).... in fact, is by far the most popular genre when it comes to writing Light Novels. Along with that, if you go on any manga site, and check the top, you will notice that up to half of the top 100 manga are isekai. So there is enough material out there, to make parodies of the genre. Furthermore, a genre does not need good stories so you can parody out of it, that's utter nonsense. And a parody doesn't mean ''making fun of it''. Does story doesn't either? Just like Konosuba this just uses troupes in a funny way.

seems kind of generic and stupid but White Fox is the studio thats adapting it, so I'm willing to give it a chance.

Even as critical and merciless as I, Another World Eternal Denier, am, the premise fits extremely well for a light-hearted comedy. Exactly the same thing happened with Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo, which is a genius comedy, if I have ever had a taste for it. Granted it respects its boundaries and does not (pathetically and fruitlessly) attempt to appear more than it is, I will actually look the other way around this time... or even take a sip of this beverage. And THEN I might go ballistic.

It has the isekai treadmark Myth & Roid song in it too lol.
I'm expecting good things tho. Heard the comedy is pretty good. And I'm a Konosuba fan. So..
