Aoyama has confirmed that Conan might end after 4 more vols, means about 40 chapters in Shukaitte Shiranai programme from NTV channel broadcasted in 4/24.  If this is true then well, it has been a fun ride to the end! |

| About freaking time if so. He was resting on his laurels for far too long. Somewhat surprising though, since he apperently loves his money and even lets his assistants do some Conan side projects to milk the series a bit more. Hopefully Miuara will follow suit. ;) |

| @Gloomy-eyes were they in English? They might get misinterpreted. I watched the actual show (though from illegal streaming site), so I know what he is talking about. Also you might mean "vol. 100", not "ch 100" because there are more than 1000 chapters. |

| I love Conan, but I'm still happy to hear the news. Finally the story can move out of status quo and we'll get some resolution. I would be worried if this was the magazine one-sidedly cancelling his series, but since it's what the mangaka wants, I think there is a good chance that the ending is going to be great. |

| Is it possible the ending was for shadowed in a dream Conan had? I would say which dream but I don’t want to spoil anything. I think the dream was in the manga and or the anime. It could have been a dream I had. Hint about the dream: Conan’s friends were in the dream. Was is it Detective Conan or another manga that was continued by the manga authors son? It might not be a good a idea to post that one was or is watching videos on illegal streaming sites. |

| Detective Conan was always destined to end, and there's no denying that there was always an endgame in sight, but I don't think that it's going to be so soon. There are still way too many plot threads to attach, and Aoyama has never slouched around when it comes to that. I'm not trying to dampen anyone's enthusiasm: I'm just trying to say that the exact figure of 4 volumes might be off, and it'll likely take a little longer. Nonetheless, I'm just as hopeful as anyone else who wants the series to end that the remaining number of volumes remains in the single digits. As much as I treasure this series, I want to treasure the conclusion as well. |
